The wreath that opened the door for me and built my confidence Amy Kern Gordy Thank you for being the first person to order from me. I was terrified to post some of my favorite work thinking that no one would be interested or there’s plenty of people out here making wreaths who would take a chance on me?!!! I feel famous having not one but 2 wreaths hanging up in a local school.

My first RESET of 2023…. Sometimes I tend to forget that when Covid struck our family losing my mom wasn’t the only trauma that my kids suffered. As a stay at home mom, I’ve probably never spent no more then 2 days away from my kids. I was hospitalized for 15 days and to top it off all the adults that my children had to depend on were in the hospital fighting for their lives.

Back in September I went to my primary care for blood work bc I had already suspected that my iron was lo. The next morning when he called with the results I kinda figured he was sending me directly to the hospital and that’s what he did. It wasn’t my first time that I’ve had that happened so my kids were pretty used to me coming home in a couple of hours, resting, and feeling better. For whatever reason this time the blood bank was having trouble blood typing me and since my iron was dangerously low they admitted me. All my kids handle things differently but I have one that emotionally shut down so much so that the school noticed that something was different at home and called me while I was still in the hospital. So when she found out that I had to go see my hematologist she kept asking me if I was going to come back home. So my RESET is dedicated to not only myself but to my kids, I want to avoid doing anything that would take me away from them. Here’s to my first iron infusion of the year

On New Years Eve, I was listening to the news and they were saying that instead of making resolutions choose a nudge word. Which for me I stopped making resolutions some years back bc I never followed through and it made me feel like a failure when the end of that year came. So this year I’ve picked a nudge word. I’m going with RESET, it feels fitting.
