“Walking on purpose, with purpose, for a purpose.”

Let’s be honest—our therapeutic gift is not a DIY project.
(No shade. I’ve tried IKEA furniture. Formation needs instructions.)

Who supervises you.
Who you consult with.
Who has permission to speak into your blind spots and brilliance—

That matters. Deeply.

This calling deserves more than convenience or vibes.
It deserves wisdom, depth, and people who know how to hold both your competence and your humanity.

Our therapeutic gift requires formation, not just information.
Choosing the right supervisor or consultant isn’t optional—it’s stewardship.

Supervision exists because the most honest clinicians regularly think,
“…I have no idea what I’m doing.”

And that’s not a flaw.
That’s integrity.

Good clinicians don’t pretend to have it all figured out.
They pause.
They question.
They bring their uncertainty into the light—because growth loves company.

Supervision isn’t about fixing “bad therapists.”
It’s about shaping wise ones.
The ones who know humility is a skill, not a weakness.
The ones who let curiosity lead instead of ego.

So if you’ve ever walked into supervision thinking,
“Please tell me I’m not the only one…”
Congratulations—you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be.

Integrating faith and mental health is rewarding work.
And… it’s easy to get wrong.

Good intentions don’t automatically create safety.
Spiritual language can heal—or harm—depending on how it’s held.
And when we skip reflection, power dynamics quietly take over.

This kind of work asks more of us than techniques.
It asks for self-awareness, ethical clarity, and ongoing formation—not just theological confidence.

Supervision isn’t about being “more spiritual” or “more clinical.”
It’s about learning how to hold faith with humility, honor the process, and let clients—not our certainty—lead their own meaning-making.

If you’re a therapist, pastor, or ministry leader who wants to integrate faith wisely, ethically, and without bypassing the human experience—that’s the work I support.

You don’t need more answers.
You need space to think, notice, and grow.

Treatment Planning: a skill worthy of my resume

Setting goals and objectives sounds so reasonable until somehow we’re supposed to turn—

👉 “I want to grow closer to God.”
Beautiful. Theologically rich.
Also… not billable yet. 😅

Into—
📝 Client will increase perceived spiritual connection by engaging in one intentional spiritual practice 3x/week as evidenced by self-report.

AS EVIDENCED BY WHAT, SUSAN?
A burning bush? A vibe? A journal entry?? 🔥📓

Listen—treatment planning is hard work.
It’s also awkward work.
It’s trying to map the movement of the Holy Spirit with bullet points and checkboxes.

So if your goals feel clunky, your objectives feel forced, and you whisper a small prayer every time you open the EHR—
you’re not failing.
You’re being human and a therapist.

This is exactly what we work through in my faith-integrated consulting and supervision sessions. You don’t have to do this alone (or rewrite the same goal 12 times).

Grace for the process.
Grace for the paperwork.
Grace for the goal that took 47 revisions and still feels… meh.

Faith-Based MFT Supervision, and Consultation ✨

Let’s be honest—becoming a therapist is holy work…
and also hard work. 😅

If you’re an LMFTA longing for solid clinical supervision and space to integrate your faith without side-eyes or footnotes, you’re in the right place.

My faith-based MFT supervision is for therapists who want to:

🧠 Grow clinical confidence
🙏 Integrate Christian faith with integrity (not spiritual bypassing—promise)
❤️ Tend to their own inner world while holding space for others
🪑 Bring all their parts to the supervision room—yes, even the anxious one

This is supervision where:
✔ Theology and psychology are friends
✔ Curiosity beats shame
✔ Your calling gets nurtured, not rushed
✔ And laughter is absolutely allowed (sometimes required)

✨ Good news: My supervision books are open, and I’m currently accepting new clients. Visit my website www.carolinabunta.com to learn more!

🧠🙏 Faith and mental health aren’t at odds—they work together!

For too long, some in the Christian community have believed that struggling with mental health means a lack of faith. But let’s flip the script! Scripture shows us that tending to our mind and heart is a spiritual rhythm, not a sign of weakness.

🗝️ Proverbs 4:23 — "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it."

Guarding our hearts includes taking care of our emotions, thoughts, and mental well-being. Christian therapists, pastors, coaches, and counselors, you are needed! Learning to integrate faith and mental health is a gift to the body of Christ. Let’s grow in this together! 💡

Sometimes we feel buried by life’s challenges, wondering if we’ll ever see the light. But just like a hidden seed, God nurtures us in the quiet places. In His perfect timing, our trials shape us into who we’re meant to be, enabling us to bring forth hope and inspiration for others.

Every hardship can help us grow stronger in both faith and mental well-being. By leaning on God’s promises and caring for our minds, we prepare to blossom in ways we never thought possible. Remember: a seed might start small, yet its potential to bless the world is immeasurable. Trust the process, trust God, and watch your seed of purpose flourish.

Happy New Year! As we turn the page to a fresh start, remember that caring for your mental health is just as essential as nurturing your faith. Be kind to yourself: set healthy boundaries, practice self-compassion, and lean on God’s sustaining grace.
