I would like to say a huge thank you to all who attended our Low-Cost Clinic/Foot Care Nurse Training this week! It was a tremendous success!! Already, our December clinic is full and we have a waiting list of 15!

Not only do we have a lot of happy clients, we have five more RNs getting ready to submit for their certification exam through the American Foot Care Nurses Association. We had four RNs from Maine and one from Massachusetts! What a wonderful group of compassionate professional nurses who will be able to offer such a needed service.

Special thanks to Brittanie, for being such a valuable help in precepting these nurses in their hands-on skills with me! I couldn’t have done it without you!

I certainly can’t forget the important scheduling of all the appointments by Rhonda, and the checking in of people by Angela and Janet.

Our staff and trainees were fed like royalty by Jess and Karen. Everything was exceptionally delicious and even accommodated for one of our trainees with a severe gluten allergy!

Going forward, we will continue striving to meet the growing need for care as we figure out the logistics and can find more RN’s wanting to sign up for our training.

Low-Cost Foot Care Clinic: September 16 to 19 in Hampden

Tuesday 9/16: FULL (waitlist available)
Wednesday to Friday: appointments available

What to expect: gentle nail and callus care, skin checks, diabetic risk awareness, and a simple at-home care plan. Care is provided by registered nurses in our foot care training program who are learning the skill and working toward certification in foot care. By booking, you support their hands-on education and help expand access to foot health in our community and across the country.
