Foot Care Friday: Thick Nails

Thickened toenails are a common issue, especially as we age or with conditions like diabetes or circulation problems. They can develop from repeated trauma, fungal infections, or simply natural aging.

Thick nails can make trimming difficult, cause pressure or pain in shoes, and sometimes lead to discomfort while walking. Left unaddressed, they may increase the risk of ingrown nails or infection.

Today we recognize National Caregivers Day and the quiet strength behind so many healthy steps.

Caregivers help loved ones stay comfortable, mobile, and confident. We support that work with services like nail trimming and filing, callus and corn reduction, thick nail debridement, and careful monitoring for signs of infection or ulcers.
