Did my water just break? 🤔💦 It’s not always a dramatic movie-style gush! It can be a slow trickle or a noticeable pop followed by fluid leakage. If you’re unsure, try lying down for 15 minutes—if more fluid comes out when you stand, it might be time to call your provider! 💕

Personal story: With my second child, my labor began with my water breaking. I was sound asleep, woke up feeling wet, and my mattress was soaked! I was so shocked—especially when I learned I didn’t have to rush to the hospital right away. My contractions hadn’t started yet, so I had the chance to hang out, eat some cereal, and watch I Love Lucy. 😅

Make sure you talk to your provider about their philosophy on what to do when your water breaks. It’s always good to know your options! ✨ Need guidance through your birth journey? I’m here to help!

C- sections are a serious abdominal surgery. My number one advice, from having c-sections myself, stay on top of pain management medication.
Secondly, go for short walks, I don’t mean around the block. Simply from your bed to another room and back. Movement is important!

The idea of a “due date” can feel like a deadline, but in reality, it’s just an estimate. Only about 5% of babies are actually born on their due date, and many arrive before or after that magic 40-week mark. Yet, there’s often pressure to induce at 39 weeks, which can lead to unnecessary interventions.
Your baby knows when they’re ready. Your body knows how to birth. It’s okay if your baby takes a little extra time—pregnancy isn’t one-size-fits-all. During your prenatal appointments, talk to your provider about their approach to going past 40 weeks. Make sure you feel supported in letting labor begin when the time is right.
You will not be pregnant forever. Your baby will come. Trust the process, trust your body, and most of all, trust your baby. 💕

Feeling unsure about your due date? Wondering what to expect if you go past 40 weeks? ✨
Let’s talk about it! In a one-hour virtual coaching session, we’ll dive into everything you need to know about due dates, induction pressure, and how to confidently advocate for yourself. You deserve to feel informed, empowered, and supported in your birth journey. 💛

Today, we celebrate the strength, love, and resilience of women everywhere—including mothers. Whether you’re navigating pregnancy, embracing the newborn stage, balancing busy toddlers, or juggling life as a repeat mom (or even a grandmom!), you are doing an incredible job. 💕 Every phase of motherhood is powerful, and every mother is a force of nature.

Let’s continue supporting, empowering, and uplifting each other. You are seen, valued, and amazing. 🌸✨

A Reflective Exercise for All Women: The Mother Lineage Tree

"Every daughter contains her mother and all the women who came before her. The unrealized dreams of our maternal ancestors are part of our heritage. To become optimally healthy and happy, each of us must get clear about the ways in which our mother’s history both influences and continues to inform our state of health, our beliefs, and how we live our lives." — Christiane Northrup

This is a meaningful exercise I encourage for postpartum and pregnant moms, and many have even done it at baby showers or with their own mothers. It’s a powerful tool for reflection, no matter what stage of womanhood you’re in.

How to Create Your Mother Lineage Tree:
1️⃣ Draw three stacked circles on a piece of paper. The bottom circle is you, the middle is your mother, and the top is your grandmother. Label them with names.
2️⃣ Divide the top two circles (grandmother and mother) in half. On the left, write qualities you don’t want to carry forward. On the right, write the qualities you cherish and admire.
3️⃣ In your circle, without dividing it, write the positive traits from the right sides above—the values, strengths, and lessons you want to pass on.

This is your beautiful maternal legacy. 💖

What will you carry forward? ✨

Pregnancy brings so many changes, and watching our bodies grow can be tough—especially in a world of highlight reels and unrealistic expectations. But your body is working hard, creating life, building the placenta, increasing blood volume, and making space for your baby. Every stretch and curve is part of something incredible.

And when your baby is in your arms, do yourself a favor—put the scale away. It won’t measure the love you give, the strength you’ve shown, or the life you’ve created. Postpartum isn’t picture-perfect, and it doesn’t have to be. Messy buns, cozy slippers, and a body that tells the story of birth—this is the beauty of motherhood.

And remember, you don’t have to do it alone. We are here to support you—through pregnancy, birth, and beyond. 💛
