Your yoga practice will take you down many roads of self-reflection on this journey. Some of these feel-good moments, as I like to call them, will make you laugh, some will make you cry, and all of them will offer you new perspectives on your life. I began my Yoga practice four years ago, and have fallen in love with my Yoga journey. When I started practicing Yoga, I thought it was all about stret
ching. Guess what? There is more to this practice than just stretching. Moving the body and practicing breathwork can help to calm the mind, body, and soul. I found this to be true after my world was turned upside down in 2017. In 2017, my family endured a lot of loss. My mother, my mother-in-law, and a miscarriage. After that, I stopped doing any kind of workout. In July 2019 I decided to try yoga, I figured I will just “stretch”. After 3 years of self-practice, I fell in love with how I felt after each session. I found yoga to be healing and not just a workout. In 2021 I took a chance on myself and signed up for a 250 hr. Yoga Teacher Training course. A few months later I received my license as a Certified Yoga Teacher with Aura Wellness Center. After gaining more knowledge of the full benefits of Yoga, I decided I wanted to share my passion with everyone. My favorite style of Yoga is Hatha/Vinyasa Flow. Hatha Yoga allows us to focus on our posture and breathing techniques to channel our energies. I provide a safe space where you can release your feelings and relax. I love setting the tone with positive intentions/affirmations for each class. I also provide hands-on assistance during asanas(postures) to provide extra relief. Yoga helps to build strength, become more flexible, help with pain, and most of all allows you to look inward to find your peace. Yoga is not about just moving the body, but soothing the mind as we take on our day-to-day life. Give yourself permission to begin your Yoga journey today. Take a chance on yourself and come experience how Yoga can benefit YOU. Allow me to help guide you to a safe space where you can be yourself and find peace.
