Thursday, we honored the life of Elaine Gorrell at her Life Celebration. Elaine attended Gravel Hill Grade School and graduated from Canton High School before earning her nursing degree from Blessing-Reiman College of Nursing. She devoted her career to healthcare. She worked in the operating room at Blessing Hospital. She had a love for animals, faith, and community involvement, Elaine leaves a lasting legacy of kindness, hard work, and devotion to her family, church, and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the Bluff Springs United Methodist Church in Canton, MO. Rev. Paul Smith and Pastor Sally Barrett will officiate. Burial will follow at Bluff Springs Cemetery near Canton, MO.

Friends and Family are invited to Elaine’s Life Celebration at a visitation that will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the Bluff Springs United Methodist Church in Canton, MO.

Tractors, History Buff, and Loved His Family!

This past Friday, we honored John August Darley at his Life Celebration. John was a skilled farm machinery expert who worked for Selby and Nichols Implement before opening his own shop, where people continued to seek his knowledge even after retirement. He had a deep appreciation for John Deere tractors, especially the Model G, and was well known at local auctions for predicting equipment prices. Quiet and thoughtful yet playful, John loved history, westerns, and most of all, creating cherished memories with his family and grandchildren.
