Joseph Catrino joined the Dartmouth community this month as the inaugural executive director of the Center for Career Design. Maia Josebachvili ’05, a member of the Board of Trustees, served on the search committee that hired Catrino. “Dartmouth has long shaped the next generation of leaders, and a best-in-class Center for Career Design is key to advancing that mission,” says Josebachvili. “Alumni are eager to support Joe in elevating our work here.”

Thank you for your ongoing service to Dartmouth, Maia!

Happy reunion weekend, ‘05s, and congratulations on reaching $736,913 in gifts to the Dartmouth College Fund in our 20th reunion year! That’s the equivalent of supporting more than 14 student scholarships. Thank you to everyone who has donated to the DCF this year!

And, the year is not over yet—we have until June 30th to reach our goal of $750,000! Help us get there by giving online at dartgo.org/givedcf

Donations of any amount are appreciated, increase our class DCF participation, and will help enhance the Dartmouth experience for all students! If you are able, please consider joining the 1769 Society (alumni.dartmouth.edu/1769-society)—send us a DM if interested and we can connect you with DCF staff to coordinate your gift!

We are excited to share that Abdul-Kudus Alhassan ’26, founder of Enlight Education, has been selected as the recipient of the Class of 2005 Seed Fund for Social Good grant.

Enlight is a hardware/software education solution for high school students in Africa. After winning Dartmouth’s Pitch competition in the Fall 23 term, Abdul-Kudus worked with the DALI digital design program to design Enlight’s website and a portion of the interface that will run on Enlight’s device. This summer, he is planning two pilot programs to test the hardware and software. The hardware pilot is with partner Miami EdTech and involves the Raspberri Pi Foundation, while the hardware/software pilot will be with partner Lead Ghana.

The Class of 2005 grant recognizes Abdul-Kudus’ commitment and traction to date, and the potential for continued growth and impact this summer and beyond. You can learn more about Enlight at enlighteducation.org

Did you know that Dartmouth has one of the most generous financial aid packages in US Higher Education? Along with only five other institutions in the United States, Dartmouth is both need-blind in its admissions process and guarantees to meet a student’s full, demonstrated need for four years, regardless of citizenship.

Gifts of ANY amount to the DCF are appreciated, will support the Dartmouth experience for all students, and are vital to those students who rely on financial aid. Help us reach our ambitious DCF ‘05 class giving goal by our 20th reunion next month!
