I couldn’t let World Mental Health Day pass without sharing a few thoughts from your friendly neighborhood therapist! 💚

Here are some important reminders I wish everyone knew:

1. Our connections heal us—surround yourself with people who uplift and inspire you.
2. We can’t control others’ thoughts, feelings, or actions, but we can control our responses.
3. It’s possible to create new neural pathways and develop healthier thinking habits.
4. We are all more alike than we realize.
5. The only person coming to save you is you.
6. Focus on the good, and the good will multiply.
7. Rest is productive.
8. Move your body.
9. Care for yourself like you do for others.
10. Drink your water.

Go Abby, go Abby, go! Making mistakes (and learning from them) is a part of being a child, a friend, a parent, a human—taking accountability, apologizing, and making it right is what it’s all about ❤️

Also, have to shoutout the Dobbin House Tavern for showing Abby and her family grace, may we all learn from them 🤗

And lastly—Abby’s parents, in case no one has told you lately, you’re doing a great job 🤍

A heartfelt salute to the parents of a young girl who, after taking two items from our Country Curiosity Store, chose to turn it into a lesson in integrity. They returned the items along with a precious handwritten note, demonstrating the true value of honesty. Well done!
