Michelle Grigalunas, professional Licensed Mental Health Counselor, LMHC, RYT-500 received her Masters in Education in Counseling Psychology, after completing her MA through Umass Boston. She has extensive experience working in diverse therapeutic settings, substance abuse treatment programs, psychiatric facilities, judicial court system, mental health clinics, schools, community development and support programs. As a result of her wide range of experience, she has had the opportunity to work with varied populations from youth, families and individuals. As an educator, advisor, therapist, movement specialist, and spiritual practitioner, Michelle provides a multifaceted perspective to healing and mental wellness. Though trained in traditional psychotherapy, combining client-centered, solution focused , positive psychology, CBT and DBT approaches, she incorporates a mind-body connection (Somatic Psychology). Over decades of continued research and study, she provides a mind- body integrative approach to healing, combining eastern and western traditions and practices, breathing techniques, mindful meditation, therapeutic yoga and guided imagery to develop a whole person approach to mental wellness and optimal health. The application of mind-body therapy can be facilitated as a preventive, curative, and/or healing treatment modality proven to aid, depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief/loss, and regulate other emotional distress. As a mother of two, she enjoys her children and encourages them to always seek a higher level of both intellectual and emotional knowledge through incorporating a lifestyle of principle and traditions of the spiritual realm.
