Our ENT clinic came together to honor Kati Davenport, NP, and the memory of her son, Declan, who would have turned 23 this year. Declan passed away at age 19 after battling sarcoma on November 14, 2022, but his light continues to inspire all who knew and loved him.

To show our love and support, our team “went gold” — the color representing childhood cancer awareness — in honor of Declan and every child who has faced or continues to face this disease.

Today and every day, we stand with Kati as we remember Declan’s strength, joy and lasting impact. 💛

Answer: False
You can absolutely get sunburn on cloudy days — but you’re not more likely to than on sunny days. Up to ~80% of UV rays can pass through clouds, so your skin is still exposed even when it doesn’t feel as intense. That’s why people often get unexpectedly burned when it’s overcast.

Roger, RN‑BSN, a Med/Surg nurse, knew culture mattered when choosing where to work.

“I was drawn to this team because the staff and leaders truly have your back,” Roger shares. “Everyone who works here is family. They are willing to help when needed.”

At Seton Medical Center Harker Heights, Roger found the support to thrive and the space to focus on what matters most – caring for patients.

When nurses have more time, patients feel the difference.

At Seton Medical Center Harker Heights, virtual nursing is helping care teams focus less on paperwork and more on people. What started with some hesitation is now giving nurses the support they need – and giving patients more one-on-one attention when it matters most.

Visit the link in the comments to see how this approach is improving both the patient experience and the nursing workflow.
