What absolutely confounds me-The replies from other women when they ask me how to lose weight & keep it off.
I tell them “Get your hormones right, eat in a calorie deficit, lift heavy weights & stay consistent for at least a year.” 👍🏻😉
Their horrified reply: “Heavy weights?! I’m afraid I’ll get too bulky.” 🤔
They say this WHILE they are looking at all 130 whopping pounds of me…wearing size 6 clothes…..🤷♀️
HEAR ME LADIES (especially if youre over 40): For 8 years, I’ve consistently lifted heavy 3, 4 sometimes FIVE days a week AND increased the weight I lift significantly. I am FAR from being built like a WWE Diva. Believe me, I’VE TRIED 🤣
If your only fear of taking up strength training is that you’ll “look bulky”, I urge you to try it just for 6 months. Not only will you feel better and lose weight (with eating right), but you’ll tone up and FEEL stronger both inside & out. 🤗
