🌍 International Student Day – Honoring John & Jackie Conner

Today, on International Student Day, we want to recognize and celebrate our dear friends and partners, John and Jackie Conner, owners of Conner Family Funeral Home in Mountain Home and co-owners of Holt Memorial Chapel here in Harrison.

Since 2012, John and Jackie have opened their home and their hearts to 18 international exchange students from all around the world. They’ve provided not just a place to stay, but a loving family, strong values, and lifelong memories.

In 1997, Phillip moved to Mountain Home to attend mortuary school at ASU–Mountain Home. At that time, John was the manager of the funeral home where Phillip worked while attending school. One day, John and Jackie invited him over for dinner — and as the Conners like to say, “he never left.”

Over the years, the Conners became more than business partners; they became family. Phillip, Rachel, and their boys are thankful for their love and friendship. The boys affectionately call them “Papa and Gigi,” and that pretty well says it all. ❤️

We’re proud to call them partners, mentors, and family — and we’re thankful for the difference they continue to make in the lives of young people and in our communities. 🌎
