The Michigan Physical Therapy Political Action Committee would like to congratulate the 2026 winners of the MPT-PAC College Wars: Grand Valley State University DPT School who brought home the prestigious Golden Goniometer for the second year in a row and Delta College PTA school who regained their hold on the coveted Golden Gait Belt. In all, student efforts raised $496 for the MPT-PAC throughout Student Conclave. Thank you to all of the students who participated. Your support of the PAC does not go unnoticed!

Rehab Agencies have experienced denials of all Medicare + Blue claims since January 2026. BCBSM recently reported an update to their system in January and are realizing a "glitch" occured. APTA MI payment has been working closely with BCBSM to resolve this issue as the financial burden is significant to the providers. Following is the update we recieved from BCBSM. Please watch Availity for a formal posting.

From BCBSM:
Medicare Plus Blue verified the issue impacted both Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Facilities (CORFs) and Outpatient Rehabilitation Facilities (ORF’s). ORF’s encompass Outpatient Freestanding Physical Therapy Facilities / Rehab Agencies and they are included in the resolution. We requested an update to the alert to include Outpatient Rehab Facilities.
