We’re excited to welcome Becky McAnulty, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, to the NARMC Cardiology Clinic!

With more than 25 years of experience in healthcare and strong ties to our local community, Becky brings a deep well of knowledge and a commitment to patient-centered care to our team. She’s a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who earned her BSN from Arkansas Tech University and her MSN from Cox College.

Becky began her career right here at NARMC, where she spent 16 years as an RN in ICU, Stepdown, Pediatrics, and Clinical Education. Since becoming a nurse practitioner in 2016, she has focused on cardiology, providing care at Walker Heart and Arkansas Heart Hospital clinics in Harrison. Now, she’s continuing that work at our clinic, helping patients manage cardiac conditions and improve their heart health.

“As a lifelong resident of Newton and Boone counties, I’ve dedicated my career to serving this community,” Becky shared. “Practicing in a rural setting allows me to help reduce the burden of travel for specialty care and make a direct impact on patients’ lives right here at home.”

Her approach is grounded in collaboration and education. She works closely with patients to explain their cardiac conditions and build treatment plans that support long-term wellness. Becky is also a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Arkansas Nurse Practitioner Association, and the American College of Cardiology, and she remains passionate about mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals.

We’re thrilled to have Becky on board and know she’ll be a great addition to our cardiology team.

Becky is now accepting new patients at the NARMC Cardiology Clinic, located at 620 North Main Street, Suite 2B in Harrison. To schedule an appointment, call (870) 414-4130.

Now your dentist AND your cardiologist may have a reason to high-five you for flossing. 🙌

According to research from the International Stroke Conference 2025, people who flossed at least once a week had a lower risk for strokes caused by blood clots coming from the heart. They also had a lower risk for atrial fibrillation, or AFib, an irregular heart rhythm that can lead to a stroke.

Flossing can help prevent gum disease and oral infections. These are linked to inflammation, which may contribute to hardened arteries and an increased risk of stroke. The research is still preliminary, but there’s really no downside to adding flossing at least once a week to your healthy routine.

Nearly half of American adults have high blood pressure, putting them at higher risk for stroke and heart disease. The only way to know if BP is in a normal range is to measure it. Small steps can make a big difference.
