Happy Friday, from Milo & The CC Staff!
Counseling Center Staff & Therapy Dog, Milo, here wishing you a good end to your week!!! We are wishing you more of what you need most this weekend to help you feel your best... maybe that's rest, connection, time, fun, nature... For Milo, it's to share his enthusiasm, infections energy, and a smile.
Also, sending a big THANK YOU to all that were able to support increasing mental health resource accessibility this week through Giving Day! We are grateful to you & our campus community for making it possible to do what we do.
Join us TODAY (2/6/24) for Every Brilliant Thing @ 2:30pm in the Union Ballroom (Warren Hall 5th Floor)! This FREE performance blends comedy, improve, and audience interaction to tell the story of one individual growing up in the shadow of their mother's struggle with suicidal depression while also navigating their own life and experiences. Every Brilliant Thing helps share the importance of conversations around mental health, while navigating the many ways we all may experience joy, hardship, and find hope. No pre-registration or ticket needed. Performance is open to students, faculty, staff, and community members. We hope to see you there!
Today we are celebrating the start of #BlackHistoryMonth! We also share a quote from Simone Biles who has not only made history, but also demonstrated the importance of prioritizing mental health. We recognize the central role of Black Americans in history, & the importance of supporting health and wellness - not just this month, but all year long.
Just a quick reminder in case this is something you need to see today. You are worthy of love and belonging, just by being you.
