🌱Bring flavor to your meal with Oxymel. Oxymels are a delightful way to bring herbal flavors and qualities to your meals and beverages. It is a sweet and sour herbal preparation that blends apple cider vinegar with a variety of fruits, vegetables and herbs and a touch of raw honey. We have five different flavors.

Prepare your next meal with our simple Oxymel ideas. Top your roasted and sautéed veggies with a sprinkle of Oxymel, and dash Oxymel into rice and pasta dishes, soups, and stews.

Try this quick Heirloom Garlic Vinaigrette: ⅛-¼ cup Heirloom Garlic Oxymel, 2 tsp dijon or brown mustard, ¼ cup oil, plus generous sprinkles of salt and pepper. Place all the ingredients in a screw top jar and shake to combine. Use on fresh greens, sliced tomatoes, cooked vegetables and anywhere you want a dash of flavor and plant nutrients.

💜Violet is just popping up in my garden and it will soon be gracing our lawns, woodlands and maybe even peeking out of cracks in the sidewalk.

Violet is known as heart ease. Violet begins blooming in the Spring, and a most gorgeous Violet vinegar can be made by infusing Violet flowers in white balsamic vinegar. The lavender liquid is so beautiful, it begs to be used on salads and to be added to water to sip on throughout the day. Merely making this infusion is a delight. Violet leaves and flowers are both edible, and Violet is often used for softening, cooling and soothing.

Violet is specific to “comfort and strengthen the heart.” We have a large row of Violet in our yard, and just sitting in the Violet patch picking blooms is calming. Even sweeter is giving friends handfuls of fresh Violet flowers.
