It is World Mental Health Day! Today, and every day, we aim to raise awareness and advocate for mental health and the importance of mental health services.

According to Tsuyoshi Akiyama, the president of the World Federation for Mental Health, the theme for this year’s World Mental Health Day is “Access to Services – Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies”.

September is National Su***de Prevention Month. This is a time to normalize seeking help and promote hope for individuals who may be struggling.

Millions of people are affected by su***de each year, and many struggle alone. This month is dedicated to connecting people to resources, recognizing the warning signs of su***de, and encouraging conversations about mental health (SAMHSA, 2025).

Visit https://www.samhsa.gov/about/digital-toolkits/su***de-prevention-month to learn more about National Su***de Prevention Month.

If you or someone you know is struggling, call 988, or visit https://988lifeline.org/ or https://www.samhsa.gov/mental-health/suicidal-behavior/resources for support and resources.
