WOW and AspYre LLC attended OCTC to tour their facilities and learn about their Career and Life Skills Certificate. A program that supports students who want to attend college to improve employability and explore career opportunities, while also offering them a college experience. Students also enjoyed a presentation from enrolled students about the program and what it has achieved for them.

Soooo many people with disabilities have incredible talent, are dedicated and more than capable to do the actual work. But, far too often they are not even given the opportunity. Job coaches consistently refer people to work at grocery stores bagging groceries or at a hotel cleaning rooms, without any regard for what their possibilities actually are. We need job coaches to dig deep into industries and educate them on the enormous benefits of employing people with disabilities.
And then we need those same industries to give this growing population of individuals a chance to show what they can learn and do.

We had a wonderful time touring Carl Perkins Vocational Center in Thelma, Kentucky! Our students enjoyed hearing about all the opportunities the center provided for them. We have had great success enrolling students and getting them prepared for their future after graduation! Thank you to everyone who helped make this trip successful! 🦅

Thank you Tamarlane Industries for allowing our students to tour your facility! We learned how parts were put together in a factory setting and even got to assemble some. All of our students did wonderful and enjoyed learning about your productions!
