NINE STRAIGHT “A”s 💙

Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center has officially earned its 9th consecutive “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group - one of the nation’s most respected organizations focused on patient safety.

This recognition places Carolina Pines among a select group of hospitals nationwide recognized as a “Straight A” hospital - something only a small percentage of hospitals achieve.

For us, this recognition represents something bigger than a score. It represents a team that shows up every day committed to safe, quality care. A culture that looks out for patients, families, coworkers, and our community. And the countless decisions made across our hospital each day with safety, compassion, and excellence in mind.

This achievement belongs to every member of our team - and to the community that continues to trust us with their care.

We are incredibly proud. We’re grateful. And we’re honored to serve the P*e Dee with the level of safety and care our patients deserve.

Thank you for allowing us to care for you, your families, your neighbors, and our community.

Pinkies up for one of our nurses’ favorite traditions! 🫖

Today, we celebrated our Annual Advanced Degree & Certification Nurses Tea - honoring the nurses of Carolina Pines who continue to grow, lead, and elevate patient care through advanced degrees and professional certifications.

We were also honored to hear from one of our own, Dr. Ashekia Pinckney, who served as this year’s guest speaker and shared encouragement and insight with our team.

From meaningful conversations to celebrating accomplishments together, today was a special reminder of the passion and dedication our nurses bring to our community every single day. 🩵

Heads up, friends - you may notice a little extra activity around over the next few days as improvements are being made in parts of our parking lot.

While work is underway, some parking areas and traffic flow may be temporarily affected. We encourage patients and visitors to allow a little extra time when arriving for appointments or visits.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue making updates to better serve our community! We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and look forward to welcoming you safely during this time.

Little surgeons in the making 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️✨

We had so much fun welcoming students from across our community for a hands-on experience they won’t forget. For a couple of days, our CPRMC Education Classroom turned into a space full of curiosity, laughter, and maybe even a few future surgeons getting their start.

Students got to try out the da Vinci Robotic Surgical System - guiding the controls like a real-life (and very high-tech) game of Operation - while learning how this technology helps our team deliver more precise, minimally invasive care.

They also spent time in our surgical suites with our surgeons and OR team, asking questions, exploring, and seeing what a day in the life really looks like.

This is what it’s all about - creating meaningful moments, sparking big dreams, and bringing opportunities like this a little closer to home.

Some stories stay with you - and this is one of them 💙

In our latest episode of Pulse Check, we sit down with one of our own, Angelia Marlowe, RRT, as she shares her incredible journey as a living organ donor. After years of watching her husband battle chronic kidney disease, Angelia made the selfless decision to donate her kidney - giving him not just a second chance at life, but a renewed quality of life they now get to enjoy together.

We’re honored to share Angelia’s story and hope it motivates others to consider the impact of organ donation. Learn about organ, eye, and tissue donation or register as a donor at sharinghopesc.org.

Yesterday was one of those days that reminds you why growth matters 🩵

Our directors and managers had the opportunity to learn from Melody Trimble, diving into workshops focused on stronger communication, deeper connection, and meaningful, measurable improvement. Not just ideas - but tools we can carry into every interaction, every decision, and every patient experience.

Because being “good” isn’t the goal. Being better - every single day - is.

We’re grateful to be part of a leadership culture that pours into its people, knowing that when we invest in our leaders, we’re investing in something even bigger: the care, trust, and experience of the community we serve.

If your organization is looking to strengthen its people and culture, Melody Trimble’s work speaks for itself! Learn more at melodytrimble.com.
