So true!!!

Human beings have been in relationship with the green world since the beginning of time. Our lives are dependent upon the plants. They recycle carbon dioxide and generate oxygen, providing the very air we breathe. Almost by magic it seems, they are able to convert sunlight into energy and then use soil and water to bring us a vast array of fruits, vegetables, grains, seeds, nuts, fiber for cloth, wood for building, and, of course, medicine. Using milder treatments to treat many of our everyday health problems should be our first choice.

The body is well designed for self-healing. Most of the time, all it needs is support as it tries to restore its equilibrium. Hippocrates believed that a physician's primary role was to remove any obstacles that impeded the body's natural ability to get better. I agree. Many of the obstacles getting in the way of health today are poor diet, lack of exercise, unhealthy relationships, chronic stress, and an underfed spiritual life. Illness is always best treated before it begins. Being healthy is our birthright, and it is also our responsibility.
