The things people don’t see🦋

The effort it takes to show up sober, present, and prepared. The unseen struggles of living with a chronic illness that are dealt with behind the scenes. Running my own studio and creating space for others while learning to prioritize my own well-being.

Everyone has unseen battles so I choose to teach with compassion, no judgment, respect, patience, and a whole lot of heart.

Healing is never linear it’s a path with ups and downs so let go of perfection and judgement towards yourself and others✨

10 minute mobility✨

So future you can get off the floor by 2026 and way beyond that. Mobility is key for everyone but especially those of us over 30 - we want to keep our independence as we age and exercises like these help improve joint health, flexibility, posture, balance, and so much more so don’t skip it.

✔️30 seconds each exercise
✔️2 rounds

1. Bridge Lifts w. Arm reach
2. Knee hug to single leg twist - keep shoulders grounded
3. Cat cow
4. Table top w. Knee lifts
5. Low lunge hip rotations
6. Goddess squat w. Side bend
7. Low squat to forward fold with heel lift
8. Hamstring sit backs

Make sure you move with you breath, never force anything, change the move to fit your body’s range of motion, never compare yourself just do what feels good to you🦋

I’m a little extra grateful this season🎄

For my sobriety, for this cozy yoga & pilates studio on the Outer Banks that I’ve built, to all the work I’ve done to heal and show up for myself, for my movement practice, and for my people who make life a little easier and without them I couldn’t do any of the above.

A special thank you to all the people who have moved with me, shared on social media, bought gift cards, supported me near and far I can’t thank you enough. Every time someone supports me at my studio or online I smile inside knowing I get to live my dream and share my passion. To you this may look like a business and it is but to me it’s so much more.

If you are struggling this season just know you are not alone I am a safe place for you in whatever life brings up.
