🔹️Friday Update on Clayton🔹️

❤Clayton has had a rough day, he is really struggling with anxiety and panic attacks and all of this is taking a toll on him mentally. They haven't been letting me see him for several days but I got a call around noon today from his nurse telling me they were going to allow me to come up there because he was having a tough time and he was asking for me over and over. I still can't actually go in his room to visit him but I can be outside his window and we communicate by a dry erase board. I could tell a difference in him from the time I got there til I left and that made my heart so happy!!!❤

I met with the pulmonoligist today also and we had a really good long discussion. He feels sure that there is a bacterial infection that is just attacking his body in a bad way. They haven't found out exactly what it is yet, they will be doing another chest x-ray tomorrow and I am praying that it hasn't turned into pneumonia .

🙏Please pray for his mental state, he is completely exhausted, physically, mentally and emotionally. The Dr also expressed to me today that he too is very concerned about his will....his will to keep fighting. They are going to continue to allow me to come and visit him through the window I am working hard on his state of mind. 🙏

🙏Please pray that the Lord gives me the words and scripture to help him. 🙏

➡️Update on Clayton!!!⬅️

Clayton Smith is still in the ICU but he is improving daily. He is still very sick but getting better day by day. He sat up in a chair this morning and ate his breakfast, I have talked to him on the phone several times and he sounds better and better every time I hear his voice. They are talking about possibly moving him back to a regular room tonight or tomorrow. They are decreasing his oxygen slowly and they need him to improve a little more before they are comfortable moving him.

🙏💔They have just moved Clayton to ICU for more one on one care. He is very sick and they are going to try to give him platelets again today.🙏💔

UPDATE ON CLAYTON!!!

Yesterday was an insane, what started out going to the Cancer Center for fluids because of dehydration......
🔹️they drew blood and his counts were extremely low
🔹️Prepped him to receive 2 units of blood, receiving blood takes quite a bit of time so I went to Walmart to get a few more items for our trip to Tennessee(on Clayton's Bucket List to see the leaves changing with Family)
🔹️getting ready to check out and my phone rings....it's the cancer center and Clayton has spiked a temp of 103, they give him meds and only get it down to 101😔
🔹️Dr Hrom calls hospital to prep them for Clayton in ER
🔹️Arrive and get him in a room, started running test, draw lots of blood, send off cultures
🔹️ By this time his anxiety is off the charts and and we work really hard to get him calmed down.
🔹️ Around 9PM they finally start giving him the first unit of blood so he had a long night ahead.
🔹️ I went home around 11 he had an amazing nurse and I knew they were going to admit him so I could get at least 1 nights sleep 🤷‍♀️
🔹️After many conversations today with nurses, nurses and more nurses we now know that Clayton is Very sick.....
➡️ All of his numbers(blood counts) are extremely low
➡️ He was severely dehydrated
➡️ His heart rate is too high
➡️ O2 sats are too low
➡️ There is an infection in his body that is reeking havoc
➡️ He has gone septic

What are we doing for him......
❣ We are now on high flow oxygen.....they have tried several things but so far this has the best results.
❣ They have worked all day on heart rate and it is finally coming down with new meds on board....prob a consult with cardio in the morning.
❣ 2 very strong antibiotics running
❣ He is finally hydrated
❣ looks like we may be winning on the fever battle....keep praying for this one.
❣He is stable as of right now, if we can just hit him to stay this way.
❣ I am expecting some very aggressive treatment tomorrow to try to get him to turn the corner.

Since he received the 2 units of blood his color looks so much better, he had been so pale for the last week or so.

I know this is a long post but I wanted to let y'all know how you can specifically pray for him. He needs every prayer you can dish out right now.

Please Share this so we can get as many people praying for him as possible. I will update sometime in the morning....pray we have a good night!!!

🥱🥴We are on the struggle bus today......we hit the snooze button as many times possible this morning. 🥱🥴

🔹️🔹️ Update his numbers looked good so he did have his chemo today, we got home around 4:30 and he went straight to bed.....he is sleeping like a baby 😴😴😴🔹️🔹️

❤Here we go, Dr appt, blood work and if his numbers are good chemo today. ❤

😍Beautiful day that the Lord has made, we are loving these cooler temperatures😍

Clayton Preston and I are well, Clayton is still very weak from the chemo treatments and Covid, thankfully he didn't have treatment this week which worked out great since we have been sick over the past week and a half.

Clayton has a Dr appointment and chemo on Tuesday the 19th, our prayer is that his numbers will be high enough for treatment on Tuesday.

We are preparing for the upcoming benefit for Clayton on October 30. We are selling tickets for a raffle on a R***r 1022 Rifle I will post pics below. We are also selling tickets for fish plates, shrimp plates and chicken on a stick plates I will also post info below on those.
