Desi Bartlett M.S., CPT, has been teaching health and wellness for over 18 years. Her innovative approach to teaching is to tap into one’s inner joy and let movement be an outer expression of that state. Originally from Chicago, she has earned a degree in Kinesiology, a minor in dance and her Master’s degree in Corporate Fitness. Desi holds advanced certifications in Yoga, Personal Training, Pre & Post Natal Fitness and Group Fitness. She is also a continuing education provider through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and the National Council for Personal Trainers. In 2010 Desi was named the national spokesperson for Fruit 2 o, a division of Sunny Delight and appeared during a segment of the Today show to promote their ‘Small Changes’ campaign.

✨ I’m so excited for my upcoming IG Live with Dan Metcalfe on Tuesday 2/10 at 8:30am HST / 10:30am PST as we dive into the theme of Human Performance.

Dan is an internationally acclaimed performance coach, keynote speaker, the creator of the Total Balance Program and the Metcalfe Method — a groundbreaking approach to brain-to-body transformation.
His journey began on the grand stages of the West End, starring in lead roles in Andrew Lloyd Webber productions like Starlight Express. During a performance, Dan suffered a catastrophic spinal injury that left him paralyzed on stage and given a prognosis of permanent disability. Refusing to accept that future, Dan embarked on a healing journey that would define his life’s work.
Years later, he was struck by a bicycle and suffered partial brain death, PTSD, and had to relearn to speak, move, and live — again. From those life-altering experiences, Dan, as a master trainer, launched his sports performance training center, crowned Nike Youth Coach of the Year, served as Head Coach on the Olympic Dev Program , and has his unique system of brain-based movement training now used to help over 70,000 people globally, including those with Parkinson’s, MS, stroke recovery, fall-risk aging adults, to elite athletes, Olympians, and world record holders.
He is the author of three books and a sought-after speaker at fitness, health and biohacking summits, blending science, soul, and real-life transformation in every conversation.

I was introduced to meditation at the age of 6, when I received my first mantra from my mother’s guru at the Temple of Kriya Yoga in Chicago.

Even after all these years, I’m still in awe of what this practice can do…how it can soften the mind, steady the heart, and bring us back home to ourselves.

I love that modern science is now validating what yogis have known for centuries: meditation can support our brain health, lower stress, improve emotional regulation, and help us show up with more clarity and compassion.

2025, thank you! ✨

This year will forever hold a special place in my heart. I completed my doctoral studies…a journey that asked for and trust in the long game. On the path of service, I was deeply honored to receive the Fitness Leader of the Year award and to be named an Top Person Helping People Feel Better🤍recognitions that reflect the work I love and the community I’m grateful to serve.

2025 also brought movement and celebration. From Playa del Carmen to Vienna, Los Angeles, Sacramento, Las Vegas, the Big Island, Palm Springs, St. Louis, and Southern Illinois…each place offered something meaningful. I celebrated love by attending two beautiful weddings, spent weekends cheering at basketball tournaments, and shared countless moments that reminded me why presence matters more than perfection.

This year taught me deep, lasting lessons about growth, boundaries, rest, alignment, and listening closely to what’s being asked next.
As we close this chapter, I invite you to check in with yourself:
What did this year teach you?
What are you ready to carry forward—and what can stay behind?

I’m quietly working through what’s next, and it feels intentional, expansive, and aligned. ✨
