🌿Creating an atmosphere of peace and joy is so key postpartum and often a last thought 🌿
I remember when I had my children I often felt so scattered postpartum, I would get to a chair or a rocker and realize that I had forgotten snacks, or water. Or I would wish that I had some music, or a diffuser, or slippers for my feet. I often needed a blanket or new burp cloth for the baby, or even a diaper and did not have anything, and so I would pace back and forth forgetting something every time.
As you heal you will often be in your bed, on the couch or in a rocking chair. Whenever you plan to be the most (maybe pick 3 main spots of rest and care) add some atmosphere. Add soft lighting ( I love salt lamps), a diffuser for a calming aroma, pictures and quotes that inspire you and a bowl of your favorite healthy snacks!
I suggest having some things for you there: books, magazines, journals, earbuds, refreshing face spray or essential oil rollers.
And some things for baby: Extra burp cloths, an extra blanket, some diapers and any breastfeeding implements that you like most ( I couldn't live without my Hakaa, homemade ni**le cream, and bamboo nursing pads)
Sounds simple but it's effective to keep you balanced emotionally and physically as you heal.
