Our Story

The American Kratom Association is a non-profit organization formed by kratom consumers, not businesses, to protect the natural right of all Americans to use the herb kratom for the purposes they choose. We are not affiliated in any way, shape or form with the American Kratom Society which is a vendor run group. Our fellow Americans are suffering from misinformation that is allowed and codified into law for the profit of one single for-profit industry that our government has entrusted with our health — the synthetic chemical based pharmaceutical industry. Our declining health as a nation has shown that this was a mistake. The American Kratom Association has been formed to petition our federal/state/local governments to open up the present monopoly over health care products to competition from what many Americans have discovered is a superior agent for pain control, anxiety, depression, and diabetes, as well as many other conditions. This better alternative to synthetic drugs is the herb kratom (Mitragyna speciosa). Kratom has a long history of safe and constructive use in its native countries of the tropical Southeast Asian nations of Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia. On behalf of a growing number of users of kratom, which is currently legal in all but four U.S. states, our organization was formed for funding scientific research, education, and clarification of the issues surrounding what appears to be a commercial stealth campaign sponsored by the pharmaceutical industry, designed at preserving their arbitrary monopoly over how Americans relieve their minor and major pains, both physical and emotional.
