With Deep Gratitude
On behalf of Herbal Phoenix STL, we extend our deepest thanks to the Ferguson Farmers Market for partnering with us to host the 5th Annual Indigenous Celebration on September 6. Your generosity, coordination, and support helped us create a space of joy, education, and cultural pride that resonated with every guest who walked through.
To the Ferguson Farmers Market staff and volunteers—thank you for setting up tents, running electrical, raising flags, as well as working craft and the raffle booth with such care and commitment. Your behind-the-scenes efforts made the day seamless and welcoming.
To our NWCC family, your presence was felt in every corner:
• Mariana and Speedy, your work with flags and banners brought color and spirit to the grounds.
• Saundi, your warmth was felt at the Meet a Native booth.
• Jane, thank you for representing
Curtis Health Solutionswith grace and knowledge.
• Raf, your energy in the Game area kept the laughter flowing.
• Evelyn, Andi, Connie, and Kathaleen- the Shash booth was a beautiful reflection of community and care.
• To the Gritts and Marsha , thank you for anchoring the Indigenous Causes booth with purpose and passion.
Alyssa Nicole with Living Blyss thank you for your amazing cooking demonstrations and flexibility.
To Kevin and Jayne, your help preparing flags, stuffing tea bags, and attaching 5,000 price tags to necklaces was nothing short of heroic. Your attention to detail made our offerings shine.
To Casey and Tom, your dedication is legendary. From loading before dawn to unloading at the event only to load up afterwards and even donating firewood—you embody the spirit of service and kinship. We love and appreciate you as our chosen family.
To all our vendors, thank you for traveling near and far to share your gifts. Your presence enriched the celebration and reminded us of the strength in our collective stories.
To our talented performers and educators:
• Ronnie Preston, your hoop, grass, and eagle dances—alongside your teachings—were mesmerizing and deeply moving.
• Lisa Bernal, your dance and education brought rhythm and reverence.
• Kathaleen, your speech on Indigenous Healthcare was powerful and necessary.
• Jim Mayhew, your native flute carried the wind of our ancestors.
• Saundi, your powerful song and drumming reminded us of the heartbeat of our traditions.
• Lexi, thank you for guiding us as MC with grace and clarity.
This celebration was more than an event—it was a gathering of hearts, histories, and futures. Thank you for helping us honor the
ancestors, uplift our communities, and celebrate our living cultures.
