I’m super excited to announce that my very first band piece was awarded Editor’s Choice by JW Pepper.
Paired with the string version (available through Randall Standridge Music), The Kraken can also be played as a combined full orchestra experience!
I’m very fortunate to have so many great people in my life, especially when it comes to musicians/directors/composers. Endless thanks to the following people that helped transform this piece from a Finale experiment to something playable/accessible: Matt Neufeld, Dan Austin, Ross Patterson, Brady Spitz, Josh Thompson, Ryan Ross, Jay McKellar, and Christian Holzer. Additional thanks to the Lawler full orchestra crew for taking this on for TMEA. There were several quality-of-life-improvements that came about during the preparation of the performance. If I left anyone off, my apologies. I checked all my email records, but it’s possible I missed one or two.
