We had a wonderful support group tonight! We talked about healthy relationships and how our past trauma can affect our present & future relationships, whether it’s a romantic relationship, a friendship or a work or social dynamic. After our discussion we did an art therapy project where we identified all of our valuable qualities we bring to each of our relationships, by naming those positive qualities we start to understand our worth and set our standards higher and our boundaries firmer bc we are worth it 😊 Please join us next Thursday!

Don’t forget! Support group tonight! 🫶🏼😊

Don’t forget! Support group tonight! 🫶🏼😊

This week we’re talking about relationships and healthy connections. Both trauma and addiction can shape the way we show up with others, from people-pleasing and over-giving to pushing people away or repeating unhealthy patterns. Healing means learning to recognize those patterns and choosing something different. We’ll be focusing on what healthy relationships actually look like and how to build connections that support your recovery, your peace, and your growth. You deserve relationships that feel safe, respectful, and real. 💛

Please join us for our free weekly Women’s Peer Support Group, a safe, welcoming space for anyone on a healing journey.

We take a holistic approach, blending evidence-based recovery tools with creative activities and supportive peer connection. Using therapeutic art, creative expression and reflection, we help women process emotions, build self-awareness, and find healing in a supportive, casual, fun & safe space. And we always have a drawing for a door prize!

This is a “come as you are” group. You dont have to talk, share, or introduce yourself. Just show up. 💛

All women 18 and older are welcome!

We had a fantastic support group tonight!!! We talked about triggers & the four trauma responses: fight, flight, fawn & freeze. We also discussed several healthy ways to cope with trauma responses & went over how to ground, check-in, then self-regulate. With these tools we can practice learning how to place a pause between trigger & reaction. The goal is building, not perfection! 🫶🏼

We barely scratched the surface of this last week, if you were there you know 😂 But we had an amazing time! So we are going to continue it this week. If you weren’t at group last week, no worries, you won’t be behind on this I promise! 🫶🏼

We are continuing our series on “Trauma” this week & we’re diving into triggers and coping mechanisms. A lot of people hear the word “trigger” and think it just means someone is being overly sensitive, but the reality is that triggers are often our brain responding to past trauma. We’ll be talking about how to recognize those moments, what’s happening in our bodies when they occur & healthy tools we can use to navigate them.

We had an amazing support group tonight!!! We actually got into such a great conversation & discussion that we only made it about halfway thru our topic tonight and didn’t even get our art therapy project 😂 So we will be continuing this same theme of Trauma, triggers & coping mechanisms next week! Thanks for coming out ladies & I realized afterward we didn’t even get any pictures 😂🫶🏼
