This week, the kids in our Residential Program celebrated the Lunar New Year by creating their own “good luck” money for the Year of the Fire Horse.

On their handmade bills, they wrote things like:
Trusting myself and other people
Being a kid
Opening up to people
Dancing

They worked carefully and intentionally, naming the things they want to carry with them into this next chapter.
A new year invites bravery. It invites growth. It invites us to try again.
We are so proud of the hard work these kids are doing every day to understand their feelings, to build trust, and to step into who they are becoming.

Here is to a bright and bold year ahead!🧧✨

⭐️Tonight, the Sleeping Giant Pickleball Club presented Beth Wheeler, Intermountain’s Director of Development, with a generous check from their recent tournament, where Intermountain was honored to be the beneficiary.

Bingo night fun 🎉

Melissa, Kati, and Teresa of our Development Team, were all smiles and ready to play Meat Bingo last night, hosted by Beta Sigma Phi Xi Iota Chapter in Butte.

This dedicated Chapter works hard behind the scenes to make the night fun and special for guests. We are grateful to be one of the organizations supported through their generosity and community spirit.

Connection can change the tone of the whole day. When children feel seen and understood, they are more likely to feel calm, safe, and open to learning.

Even small moments of connection like listening or sharing a laugh can help create a more peaceful day for kids and families.

Try starting your day a few minutes earlier to sneak in some intentional connection and see the difference it makes.

Tonight, Intermountain staff members gathered to honor indigenous people and the impact of generational trauma. It was an opportunity for the community to come together to hear stories of survivors from Indian residential schools. The event allowed for reflection and healing in the power of truth and storytelling.

Special thanks to St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Helena United Methodist Ministries, the Friendship Center, St. Peter's Cathedral, Berry Medicine, and the Women's Foundation of Montana for bringing the film Sugarcane and the reflective conversation to the Helena Community.

When Intermountain is in a school, students are not facing big feelings alone.

Our teams work alongside teachers and staff to support the whole child emotionally, socially, and academically. Together, we help students build emotional awareness, strengthen relationships, and develop the skills they need to succeed at school, at home, and in their communities.

This is what it looks like when schools and mental health professionals work as one team for kids.

We are grateful to be part of the village supporting Montana’s students.
