If you’ve ever carried stress or soreness right in your neck and shoulders (yep, me too 🙋‍♂️), this homemade herbal rub is a game-changer. Instead of chemicals or strong-smelling creams, it uses gentle, natural ingredients to:
✨ Relax tight muscles
✨ Ease inflammation
✨ Bring soothing warmth to achy spots

Here’s my favorite recipe:

Neck & Shoulder Relief Salve
• ½ cup coconut oil (base + absorbs easily)
• ¼ cup beeswax pastilles (gives it that solid balm texture)
• 2 tbsp shea butter (extra soothing)
• 1 tbsp arnica-infused oil (famous for pain relief)

• 1 cup old-fashioned glyphosate free oats(One Degree or Bob’s Red Mill)
• ½ cup natural organic peanut butter (or almond butter)
• ⅓ cup raw honey (or pure maple syrup)
• 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
• 2 tbsp dark chocolate chips (70%+ cacao)
• 1 tbsp chia seeds (fiber + omega-3s)
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• Pinch of sea salt

Optional add-ins: shredded coconut, flaxseed meal, or crushed nuts.



Instructions:
1. In a bowl, stir together peanut butter, honey, and vanilla until smooth.

🌿 Grilled Chicken & Quinoa Power Bowl (Summer Edition)

🥗 Ingredients (Serves 2)

For the bowl:
• 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts (6 oz each)
• 1 cup cooked quinoa
• 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
• 1 cucumber, diced
• 1 avocado, sliced
• 2 cups baby spinach or arugula
• ¼ cup red onion, thinly sliced
• 2 tbsp feta cheese (optional)

For the marinade:
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 1 tbsp lemon juice
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• 1 tsp paprika
• ½ tsp salt
• ½ tsp black pepper

For the dressing:
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar or red wine vinegar
• ½ tsp Dijon mustard
• Pinch of sea salt



🔥 Instructions

1. Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add chicken and let marinate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight in the fridge).

2. Grill the Chicken
Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high. Cook chicken for 6–7 minutes per side or until internal temp hits 165°F. Let rest, then slice.

🧠 Functional Medicine vs. Prescription Culture: A Wake-Up Call 💊

It’s wild how quickly we’re handed prescriptions these days. One symptom… and most doctors reach for the pad. High blood pressure? Here’s a pill. Can’t lose weight? Another pill. Low energy? Yet another one.

But here’s the truth most people never hear: you’re not low on medication—you’re low on function.

That’s the difference between traditional medicine and functional medicine.

Functional medicine looks at why the body is out of balance—not just how to silence the symptoms. It focuses on systems, not symptoms. And more often than not, it leads to true healing, not lifelong dependence.

I was once on blood pressure meds (Lisinopril). Didn’t feel right. I had side effects, low energy, and this nagging feeling that I was just putting a band-aid on a deeper issue. That pushed me to take a different path—one that actually helped me feel better long-term.

Here’s what helped me transition off meds and take control of my health:
