We had a great visit from our friends at Apex Chiropractic to talk about how we can work together to better serve our patients. When providers collaborate, everyone wins — stronger recovery, better outcomes, and a healthier community! 💪💙

💪✨ Your goals. Your life. Your plan.

Recovering from surgery isn't just about walking normally again. No two people — and no two injuries — are the same. That’s why every program at MVP is completely personalized to you — your lifestyle, your activities, and what you want to get back to doing.

🏃‍♀️ Running that 5K again.
🎾 Getting back on the tennis court.
👶 Lifting your kids without pain.
🌄 Or simply walking without fear of re-injury.

Our physical therapists take the time to really listen, assess, and build a plan that fits your goals — not a one-size-fits-all routine. Because recovery isn’t just about healing... it’s about getting your life back. ❤️

🌍💚 Today is World Mental Health Day — a reminder that taking care of your mind is just as important as taking care of your body.

Chronic pain and mental health are deeply connected.
😣 Persistent pain can lead to stress, anxiety, or depression.
🧠 And those same mental health challenges can actually intensify the pain you feel.

It’s a cycle — but it’s one that physical therapy can help break.

Through movement, guided exercise, and education, physical therapy helps:
✨ Reduce pain naturally
✨ Improve sleep and mood
✨ Restore confidence in your body
✨ Reconnect you with the activities that bring you joy

Because when your body moves better, your mind often follows. 💪🕊️

Let’s break the stigma, move with purpose, and support total well-being — body and mind.

🎗️ October is National Physical Therapy Month! 🎗️

Your chronic pain treatment should be as unique as you are.
Cookie-cutter approaches rarely work—and that’s why physical therapy starts with a thorough evaluation of your movement, strength, and daily activities to create a plan that’s tailored just for you.

💡 Many patients find that PT provides pain relief equal to medication—without the side effects.
Even better? The strategies you learn become lifelong tools for managing your condition.

Physical therapy doesn’t just aim to reduce pain—it helps you get back to living the life you love.

📈 Chronic pain rates have risen from 20.4% to 24.3% in recent years—but there’s good news: PT offers proven, personalized solutions that address root causes, not just symptoms.

👉 This October, make managing your pain a priority.

🚨 Back-to-Sports Season = More Injuries 🚨

As kids jump back into practices and games, it can be tricky to tell the difference between a sprain and a break. Here are a few signs to watch for ⬇️

👉 Possible Bone Break (Fracture):

Severe pain right after injury

Obvious swelling or bruising

Trouble putting weight on it

Deformity (looks “out of place”)

👉 Possible Sprain:

Mild to moderate pain

Swelling and bruising that appear gradually

Limited movement but no deformity

Able to put some weight on it (though painful)

*This is for informational purposes only and not meant for diagnosis *

💡 Sprains can be as or even more serious than breaks in some cases. Play it safe. Get it checked out! Early care = faster recovery and safer return to play.

💪 Our team helps athletes of all ages recover strong and get back to what they love.

🔥Single Leg Balance: one move, so many benefits!

Improves: stability, coordination, and joint strength

Activates: the muscles in your feet, ankles, legs, hips, and core (which all help your proprioception-the body’s ability to sense its position in space)

Balance is not only needed for athletic performance but also reduces the risk of falls and injuries, especially as we age.

🌟Research shows that the ability to stand on one leg for at least 10-15 seconds correlates with lower risk for falls and even overall mortality in older adults🌟.

While 15 seconds is a solid target, you should work towards a goal of 30 seconds or more per leg.

Progressions include:eyes closed, reaching while balancing, or balancing on a soft surface.

***please always perform near a surface you can hold onto or grab if needed***
