We are extra thankful for the incredible recovery Ms. Vickie “Mimi” Holmes is making in our Lexington, TN, clinic! 💙

After experiencing a stroke in 2023 that led to her first heart complication, she has faced not one but two aortic dissections—the most recent in October—and even underwent open heart surgery. Through it all, she’s shown nothing but grit, grace, and determination.

Ms. Vickie is working so hard in therapy to get back to the things she loves most: keeping up with her grandbabies and mowing yards like a champ! She is truly a testament to strength, perseverance, and the power of great care paired with a determined spirit.

Fun fact: “Mimi” is the sweet grandmother of our very own PTA, Madilyn Lee Golden!

After having lumbar surgery earlier this year, she worked hard through her therapy program and made such outstanding progress that she chose to continue with us to tackle some lingering foot and ankle pain. Through her dedication and consistency, Miss Kay feels stronger, more confident, and has less pain! 👏

At STAR Physical Therapy, our mission to serve extends far beyond the walls of our clinics. It’s woven into who we are, and it’s reflected in team members who lead with compassion, humility, and a heart for helping others.

Today, we’re proud to highlight one of those team members: Shelby Crews from our Union City clinic. Shelby recently returned from a mission trip to Honduras, where she spent time serving others in need and making a meaningful impact through acts of love and service.

Shelby embodies the spirit of STAR Physical Therapy. Her dedication to serving others inspires us, and we are grateful to have her on our Union City team. She will continue her calling next fall as she begins Occupational Therapy school, and we couldn’t be more excited to cheer her on!

Jessie Neal from our Marketing team and Zach Shue from our Bellevue clinic had the opportunity to represent STAR Physical Therapy today at the Nashville Christian School Career Fair. We enjoyed speaking with students from 7th to 12th grade about the ins and outs of physical therapy and what a future in this field can look like.

We also highlighted the great work Zach is doing on campus by bringing the PT clinic directly to the school and treating students, athletes, and faculty two afternoons a week.

We’re grateful for the chance to connect with these bright young minds and share our passion for helping others move, feel, and live better! 💙🧡
