I'm kinda getting a Gilligan's Island vibe here! What started out as a 3 hour ablation, turned in a 6 hour slow your heart rate down. SUCCESS!! HE'S DOING WONDERFUL!

12:30 PM On his way to have the ablation done. Typical time is 3 hours.

Today, there are tentative plans for another cardiac ablation. Two years ago it was successful! Let's do it again!

Update... moved from ER Observatory to Heart and Vascular Progressive Unit, just opening this past March. This place is unbelievable! He may NEVER come home....I may NEVER go home! I'm so thankful that this experience has been better than our past year of ER admissions! The cardiologists are trying to control the a- flutter with medication. The newest one, they started about an hour ago. His rate is still running 150 to 160/min. If the medication is not successful, they are looking at doing another cardioversion or the ablation. Hopeful the medication steps in for action!

Over the past 4 days, Carl... will be known as (Cork) from here on in.... had made 3 trips to the ER with elevated heart rate and blood pressure. The 2nd visit, he was admitted. With the atrial flutter/ fibrillation, they did a TEE, a scope down the esophagus to view the back of his heart. No blood clots were found, so they did a cardioversion while he was still under anesthesia. Several hours layer, he was back home on his favorite recliner! He started a new medication Friday to help keep the heart in rhythm. Well, the next day, today, November 2, it started back up around 150 bpm. So, here we are.... back in our home away from home! This will help everyone to know what's being done and save lots of texting time. Delete or add as you desire.
