We will be closing today at 12PM for the Christmas holiday. If you need an allergy shot please try to be here by 11:45AM at the latest. We will also be closed next week on Monday and Friday but will be on normal schedule on Tuesday and Thursday.

Schools out! So are bees. If you have ever had an allergic reaction to bees or know someone who does please contact our office. We offer venom testing and immunotherapy to help. Also make sure to keep an Epipen on hand at all times if allergic this summer.

If you are unsure of your reaction or it has been many years since you had a reaction please call our office to see if you are a candidate for this testing. It is important to have this allergy removed from your list of medication allergies if possible.

Attention Shot Patients! Make sure to bring a current unexpired Epipen to all allergy shot visits. It is important that you have this on hand in case of an anaphylactic reaction upon leaving our office. If you need a new epipen or if your current one is expired please contact our office.

Spring is here! Tree pollen counts are high currently with the top 3 species being Oak, Poplar, and Pine. Make sure to take allergy medications daily and call our office for an appointment if you are having trouble.

Pollen season is right around the corner. It is important to start on daily medications before the pollen starts getting high- usually by the first of March. Please schedule an appointment to discuss medications soon.

Do you suffer from grass pollen allergy? Are your summers miserable due to symptoms? We now offer sublingual (under the tongue) tablets to treat grass pollen allergy. This is sometimes done instead of allergy shots to treat those who qualify. In order for this to be effective you have to start taking the tablets 12 weeks before grass pollen season begins. If interested please contact our office soon for an appointment.

Winter is rapidly approaching. Temperature changes and cooler weather are common triggers of coughing and wheezing in those with asthma. If you have asthma, make sure to stay on or start your daily controller medication/inhaler in order to prevent this. If you are having trouble please contact our office for an appointment.

News for our office:
*Reminder- we do now offer a late night on Thursdays until 6 PM to help accomodate those in need of later appointments/later times to get allergy injections.
*The new sublingual tablets are now available to treat grass and ragweed allergies- contact our office for more information.
*Also- please remember that with all the emerging infections- Enterovirus/flu, etc.- now is the time to make sure you are taking your daily preventitive asthma medications/inhalers.
* Now is also the time to get your yearly flu shot- we do have them available- contact us if you would like one.

We also wish the best to Dr. Sran today as she takes her asthma/allergy boards that she is to take every 10 years. We know she will do great!

Have you heard about the new sublingual (under the tongue) tablets for treating grass and ragweed allergies? This may be an alternative to allergy shots in some individuals. As of May 1st we have new hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Friday: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Thursday: 8:30 AM- 6:00 PM
Closed Wednesday.
Hopefully these new hours will better accomodate those struggling to make it for allergy shots by 5 or in need of later appointments.

Unsure if you are really allergic to Penicillin? Told you were allergic since a small child? We offer Penicillin testing to further evaluate this. Actually 80-90% of people who think they are allergic to Penicillin- when tested- are actually NOT. Call our office for an appointment if you would like to evaluate this further.

We now offer patch testing at our office for help with diagnosing contact dermatitis. Some common sources that may trigger reactions include nickel, fragrances, preservatives, and several others. If you or someone you know is suffering from this and needs help finding the cause please call our office for an evaluation.

Pollens are high today with predominate pollens being Maple, Juniper, and Poplar. They may fall to moderate range through Saturday due to increasing humidity/weak winds/expected precipitation but then are back up even higher come Sunday. Make sure you have started your allergy medications.
