Emergency personnel excel at their job, but the average emergency response time is 7 minutes. In critical situations, every second counts:
-5 minutes: The time it takes to bleed to death.
-4-6 minutes: The time it takes for brain damage to begin when the heart stops beating.
-1 minute: The length of time the brain can survive without oxygen before brain cells begin to die.
You can make a life-saving difference. Learn CPR and First Aid today. Be a lifesaver.

Sunday is International Overdose Awareness Day.
Overdoses can involve recreational drugs, prescription medications, or alcohol. In 2023, more than 105,000 people in the U.S. died from drug overdoses. (CDC.gov)
What should you do if you suspect an opioid overdose?
-Call for emergency help immediately – Time is critical, and first responders can provide life-saving care.
-Check the scene for safety – Make sure it’s safe for you to approach.
-Administer Naloxone (Narcan), if available – Naloxone can temporarily reverse the effects of opioids and help restore breathing.
-Stay with the person until help arrives – Monitor their condition and provide support.
Being informed can help save a life.
For more information on training for Naloxone administration and other First Aid/CPR skills, contact LifeLines today.
