Special Operators cannot be mass-produced, per these two sources (USSOCOM, n.d., Garamone, 2024), and I am now convinced that this tier of influence, training, and instruction not being completed is partially that way because of the prior influences of family, peers, teachers, mentors, and faith communities. Their influences have flatlined a higher tier of development. Throughout my own adult life, I have tried to live at the “doctoral” level—high responsibility and competency—while getting mixed and different information from everyone. Unity is key. Unity is a biblical principle for Good reason. The growth of people is the reason.

One example is getting a pamphlet about a veteran organization's services and staff. To find out from the receptionist, one service no longer exists, and I will see a new staff member. The reviews of the organization are that of a different company altogether. I then get to my mental health appointment and sat in the office of someone who was said to not work there anymore, and they asked, “You inquired about dental services, right?”

When we reach a higher level of education, work, etc., we are fearful of a repeat of this, which will cause us to be in mental confusion, question everything we are told, and never believe anything.

"Our MFT program currently meets LMFT (licensed marriage and family therapist) licensure requirements for Virginia, Delaware, North Carolina, Texas, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the United States Virgin Islands. Students from Colorado, South Carolina, and Tennessee must meet additional requirements within the Practicum/Internship classes. For all other states, we recommend contacting your state’s licensure board about coursework requirements for LMFT licensing.

If you would like to transfer into the online, CACREP-accredited, M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, we encourage you to contact SBSlicensure@liberty.edu for advising on a case-by-case basis regarding coursework and course sequencing.

While you may be able to obtain an LMFT license in your state, Liberty University cannot guarantee that the M.A. in Marriage & Family Therapy program will meet the education requirements needed for a LMFT license in all states. Time after an incident does not leave scars and heal wounds. Submitting or enduring something does not leave scars, it keep the wound open. Healing brings scars.

There is a great book out there, The Lifegiving Home: Creating a Place of Belonging and Becoming, written by two Christian women (Sarah and Sally Clarkson). Dr. Andrew Malekoff's psychological research on group work with adolescents supports the idea of belonging for adolescents.

One aspect that is taught is not introducing teens to rules right off the bat. This gives a feeling of untrustworthiness, not autonomy. Autonomy teaches teens that they have what it takes to make good decisions without prompting. A place of becoming can also be an all-girl, all-boy, or age-specific group. Even activity-based groups can have a feeling of becoming - for 60% of the group or 100%. Knowing each teen, what works, and when is essential for creating that place in your home, school, and activities or groups.

One of my flaws is that I do not say, "Not my job," when I talk about innovation, working with people, and anything that can influence a person's experience, knowledge, growth, or performance. God cares and loves the 1%, any and all outliers. I truly believe that saying, "Not my job," is a negative spirit that promotes writing people off, laziness, and division. All of which devalues what God values. I mean, I'm with you, the world. I would love to bring the relaxation of home everywhere I go, like RV living. That is not God's intention for anyone. Home is a specific place and is not to be mixed with God's kingdom work.

To not have "home" relaxation will cause burnout. To bring "home" and a pillow with us when we work is not proper stewardship and can make us choose "home" or "Not my job" over what God is trying to do.
