Please come and join us for the Second Annual Sand Slam Volleyball and Cornhole Tournament to be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013. We will be announcing the location very soon. This event is setup and run by Julie Mutter and Stephanie Neighbarger who have founded Sand Slam -- sisters who care a lot about needing to find a cure for Alzheimer's! Come out and have some fun playing volleyball or cornhole, or join in the other fun competitions, or try for some of our awesome raffle prizes -- all to benefit Alzheimer's Research! Specifically, all proceeds are going to the Coach Earle and Jean Bruce Alzheimer's Research Fund in Neurology at the Wexner Medical Center at The Ohio State University. Coach Earle Bruce, past head football coach at Ohio State, has long been committed to finding a cure for Alzheimer's. Volleyball Tournament begins at 11:00am sharp!
$180 per team (18 yrs+)
-6-person teams.
-At least 2 women per team.
-Double elimination.
-First game regular scoring to 21 - no need to win by two.
-Losers bracket rally to 15.
-Standard sand volleyball rules apply.
-24 teams maximum. CORNHOLE INFO:
Cornhole Tournament begins at NOON sharp!
$40 per team! 50% payout
-Traditional 21 Game.
-One team reaches or exceeds 21 points at the completion of a frame.
-Not necessary to win by two or more points.
-Opposing players’ frame points cancel one another out.
-Double Elimination. Speed Serve Competition (depending on availability)
