At Aspire, home is more than a place — it’s a foundation for independence, comfort, and community. 💛 Currently, there are 22 Aspire Community Homes across Cook and Lake Counties, providing around-the-clock support so that people with disabilities can live safely, confidently, and with dignity. 🏡

And life at home is full of connection: residents participated in over 300 community activities this year, from outings and celebrations to everyday moments that foster a sense of belonging.

🌟 Giving Tuesday Ambassador Spotlight: Sandra 🌟

Sandra’s story is rooted in strength and the comfort that grows from hard-earned independence. 💛 When Sandra was a child, her mom was told she might never recover. But her family never stopped believing in her. Through years of therapy and perseverance, Sandra relearned how to walk and talk, rebuilding her world one step at a time.

That fierce spirit has always been part of who she is. “She always wanted to do things on her own,” her mom remembers. At Aspire, surrounded by supportive staff and roommates, Sandra found the routine, confidence, and community to keep growing. She’s built a life where she feels safe, capable, and truly at home — and that growth has brought her mom lasting peace of mind. ✨

Sandra reminds us that an accommodating, loving community can change everything.

✨ Big thank you to our friends at EY for hosting such a wonderful afternoon with our Employment Training Program! ✨

We started with a delicious lunch where everyone could mix and mingle, followed by a fun team building activity making puzzles together. Then we joined a powerful panel discussion with voices from both Aspire and EY, sharing tips on creating accommodating workplaces, what makes a great team, and personal stories from each person’s employment journey.

We then wrapped up the day by practicing elevator pitches and cheering each other on! 💙

We are so grateful for EY’s continued support, partnership, and commitment to people with disabilities. We can’t wait for the next event!

✨ What a historic day at Aspire! ✨

On Friday, we officially cut the ribbon to our new Employment Training Program Warehouse, a first-of-its-kind space designed to open doors to meaningful work and opportunity for people with disabilities. 💼💙

We were joined by an incredible group of government officials, partners, supporters, and family members to celebrate this milestone moment. Together, we honored the success of our amazing trainees, the dedication of our partners, and the shared vision that made this possible. 🙌

🕺💃 The Aspire Dance Team has been on a roll this fall 💃🕺

They have been spreading joy, rhythm, and Halloween spirit wherever they go! From two surprise flash mobs in September to spooky-fun Halloween performances at Scarecrow Fest in St. Charles and the Pumpkin Fest at the Cosley Zoo, our dancers have been lighting up the stage with their energy and talent. 🎃🕸️

We’re so proud of this amazing crew for sharing their passion, confidence, and creativity with the community — proving once again that when we move together, we’re Powered by Possible! 💙
