Happy New Year Friends!
Hello friends!
I swear every New Year is filled with "Man I can't believe the year already is over. There’s a lot happening behind the scenes at The GOODS, and we wanted to send a simple, clear update as we start off our New Year!
We’re No Longer Mobile
Just a reminder the trailer is officially parked. You can now find us inside Omega at 512 N. Main St, Monday–Friday, 9–5, while we continue transforming our future home at 704 N. Main. Our stand inside Omega is small but pretty stocked with home, health, and self-care items, refills, in-house products, and locally made goods.
Renovations Are Underway at 704 N. Main
The Hillcrest Florist building is getting a new life, but it needs a lot of love. We’re tackling this renovation step by step and building it together as a community co-op space. This shop will become a refill station, local goods marketplace, workshop space, and community hub.
Fundraising is in motion and we are looking to our community to help us get the space up and going. Until larger funding is attained Johnny and I are in there weekly working on- all the smaller things we can accomplish. Like fixing facade, cleaning up and fixing the windows, painting, buidling out the space.
The larger items on the list is plumbing, electrical and now (a recent find) a leaky roof.
Throughout the year, we’ll be rolling out some:
• Limited-run and Special merch drops- Tshirts, tote bags, magnets, buttons etc
• Workshop fundraisers
• Sponsorship opportunities
• A community donation drive
Every dollar goes directly into materials, equipment, and build-out costs for 704 N. Main. If you’ve been wanting to help us push this over the finish line, this the time.
It’s a HUGE ask but if anyone knows a community member that may be willing to help at cost - gives them a shout!
If you’d like to become a supporter or sponsor, just reply to this email and we’ll send the sponsor packet or visit https://www.gimmiethegoods.com/help-us-grow
