Most women get this quiz question wrong—and it’s creating more hormone chaos than necessary.

If you saw the quiz and guessed anything other than B, you’re not alone.
Most women do.

👉 The correct answer is B:
Insulin resistance can interfere with how estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone work—regardless of body size. Blood sugar swings can suppress libido and worsen perimenopause symptoms, even in thin women.

This is where things go off track for so many women.

They believe metabolic issues only affect people who are overweight.
They assume fasting more or eating less will “fix” hormones.
They blame age instead of physiology.

And unintentionally, they create more challenges:
• lower libido
• worse mood swings
• increased fatigue
• cycles that feel completely unpredictable

S*x hormones don’t work without metabolic health.
And perimenopause exposes that truth fast.

This is exactly why I work with women 1:1.
I don’t hand you a generic plan or tell you to push harder.

I help you:

* Learn what your body is actually responding to
* Stabilize blood sugar in a way that supports hormones
* Understand when fasting helps—and when it hurts
*Personalized gut healing to help "right" your hormones

"Reright" the ship with education, training, and personalized guidance
You’re not broken.

You’re just missing the right information—and a strategy that fits YOU.

And yes, this can be addressed.

I have several levels of programs that work within YOUR budget and they all get to the root cause level for helping you heal to reclaim your libido, energy, and mood balance!

Sleeping well during perimenopause or menopause can feel like trying to tame a wild animal—night sweats, racing thoughts, 3 a.m. wake‑ups… it’s a lot.

But quality sleep is one of the most powerful foundations for balancing mood, energy, and overall well‑being.

And the great news? There are root‑cause solutions that reach FAR beyond hormones and don’t rely on quick fixes. Simple, free habits can calm your nervous system and support more restful nights.

Here are a few to start with:
• 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Limit screens and caffeine later in the day—they nudge your stress hormones up.
• 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗱‑d𝗼𝘄𝗻: A predictable routine tells your body it’s safe to drift into sleep.
• 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: A short walk helps regulate stress and supports deeper rest.
• 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱‑b𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴: Try 5 slow breaths with your hand on your chest to quiet nighttime tension.
• 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁: Helps reset your internal clock so sleep comes easier at night.

And if you’re wanting support beyond tips, I work 1:1 with women to address the deeper roots behind sleep struggles—helping restore mental sharpness, body confidence, creative energy, and s*xual vitality so you can feel like yourself again.

You deserve rest. Your body is not broken—it just needs the right support.

(Quiz answer: B. Avoid caffeine and screen time before bed. In case you were wondering..lol)

If you’ve noticed your libido changing during perimenopause or menopause, you are so not alone.

Hormone shifts, stress, and sheer life overload can dial desire down—but the story doesn’t end there.

Low libido can influence how you feel in your body, your mood, and your relationships.

And here’s the encouraging part: there are root‑cause solutions that reach beyond hormones—physical, emotional, and lifestyle factors that can be supported, nurtured, and restored so you can reconnect with your s*xual aliveness.

Simple, free practices that support overall s*xual wellness:
• Prioritize rest: Even one extra hour of sleep can lift mood, energy, and desire.
• Daily movement: A regular walk increases circulation and boosts body confidence.
• Stress release moments: A 2‑minute breathing break helps calm your nervous system.
• Emotional check‑ins: Asking “What do I need today?” reconnects you to your body’s cues.
• Connection rituals: Small, pressure‑free moments of affection can rebuild intimacy.

And if you’re wanting deeper support, I work 1:1 with women to help address root causes of:
• vaginal dryness
• body image and physique changes
• mental sharpness
• creativity and self‑expression
• s*x drive and overall s*xual vitality

You can feel alive, connected, and confident again. Your Second Spring can be full of amazing intimacy and creativity and drive for life!

I know the topic of aging can be a sensitive one. It's easy to get discouraged or feel powerless as the years go by.

But I'm here to remind you - it's not about the number, it's about how you choose to experience this chapter of your life.

You see, you are so much more than just your age. You are the beautiful culmination of all your life experiences, your triumphs and your struggles. And you have the power to shape how the rest of your story unfolds.

Rather than letting age be an excuse to hold back, I encourage you to embrace your wisdom and use it to your advantage. Dare to be playful, sensual, and curious like a vibrant young spirit.

Rekindle that sense of wonder about the world around you. Get out there and give the gym a try - you may surprise yourself with what your body is still capable of.

Remember, you are not beholden to anyone's expectations of how you "should" act your age.

The only person you need to live up to is the vibrant, dynamic version of yourself.

It's never too late to chart a new course and become the best, most youthful iteration of you.

So, my darling ladies, I challenge you - 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆.

Refuse to let the voice of self-doubt hold you back. The power is in your hands to create the rest of your story. What are you waiting for?

Many women don’t realize that symptoms like irregular periods, anxiety, and mood swings can be connected to low progesterone — especially as it naturally starts to decline in midlife.

But a dip in progesterone doesn’t mean your body is shutting down or that you have to “push through” feeling off. Your body is incredibly adaptable.

With root‑cause healing, nervous‑system support, and sustainable habits, you can bring things back into balance, even if that balance is the new post menopause balance!

This is exactly what I help clients do in my 1:1 coaching — and soon in my new 6‑month subscription program designed to guide you through this transition with clarity and confidence.

Your hormones may shift, but your wellbeing is absolutely not over. Let’s support your body so it can support you.

(BTW, the answer is D. All of the Above)

Here are three simple, actionable tips women can start using today:

Stabilize blood sugar at every meal
Pair protein, healthy fats, and fiber together. This steadies cortisol, which directly supports healthier progesterone levels and reduces anxiety and mood swings.

Create a nightly wind‑down ritual
Even 10–15 minutes of intentional calm — light stretching, deep breathing, or reading — helps lower stress hormones so your body can actually make progesterone.

Prioritize magnesium
Whether through foods like leafy greens, nuts, and cacao or through a gentle magnesium glycinate supplement (if approved by your provider), magnesium supports nervous‑system regulation and can ease irritability, sleep issues, and hormonal tension.

These small shifts can bring surprisingly big relief — and they’re a great starting point while you work on deeper root‑cause healing.

Here is a magnesium source I trust and use.

🌿 Are You Powering Through or Tuning Out? Take the Midlife Resilience Quiz 🌿

“What’s Your Midlife Resilience Type?”

✨ Discover how you adapt, recover, and rise — body, mind & spirit.

Let’s be honest — midlife can feel like a juggling act on a tightrope. You’re holding so much: family, career, health changes, and the invisible load that never seems to stop.

But how you respond to stress during this season makes all the difference.

➡️ If you “power through”…
That used to be me. I wore exhaustion like a badge of honor — too busy to rest, pushing harder every day.
But here’s the truth: constantly running on adrenaline leads straight to hormonal chaos, adrenal fatigue, and emotional burnout. Your body eventually keeps the score.

➡️ If you “numb out”…
Reaching for Netflix, wine, or late-night scrolling offers quick relief, but it disconnects you from what your body is trying to tell you. Real healing comes from feeling, not fleeing.

✨ The good news? You can build true resilience — the kind rooted in restoring your energy, balancing your hormones, and reclaiming your spark.

That’s exactly why I created this quiz — to help you understand your unique stress patterns and where to begin your healing journey.

💫 Take the quiz: What’s Your Midlife Resilience Type?
Let’s find out how you can thrive — not just survive — this powerful chapter of life.

5 Hard Truths Women in Perimenopause & Menopause Need to Hear

Let’s stop pretending it’s just a phase. It's NOT.

Perimenopause and menopause change everything — your hormones, metabolism, energy, moods, and even your sense of self.

You can’t power through this with the same habits that worked a decade ago.

Here are 5 hard truths every woman needs to face if she wants to thrive — not just survive — in the second half of life 👇

1️⃣ Your body has changed — permanently.
Stop punishing it for evolving. What worked before won’t work now.
You need muscle, quality sleep, and real nourishment — not restriction or burnout workouts.

2️⃣ You can’t ignore your health data anymore.
This is where numbers matter — blood sugar, cholesterol, bone density.
They’re not verdicts; they’re feedback. Use them to take control, not to shame yourself.

3️⃣ Stress hits harder now — and costs more.
Cortisol spikes aren’t just mental; they’re physical. They tank your sleep, libido, and belly fat.
Boundaries, rest, and slowing down aren’t indulgences. They’re medicine.

4️⃣ Your identity is shifting — and that’s okay.
When roles change and hormones reset, it can shake your sense of purpose.
But this is your moment to redefine yourself — on your own terms.

5️⃣ Health isn’t just physical anymore.
It’s emotional, relational, spiritual. Midlife demands wholeness, not perfection.
The more aligned you feel inside, the stronger and steadier you become on the outside.

This stage isn’t the end of your vitality.
It’s the invitation to live in full alignment with truth, power, and purpose.

💥 If you’re ready to stop guessing and start evolving…
I work 1:1 with women in this exact season — creating informed, comprehensive, personalized plans that guide you into a stronger, calmer, more powerful version of yourself.

✨ DM me today to schedule your Discovery Call — and let’s start building the second half of your life from a place of strength, confidence, and clarity.

FOOD SPOTLIGHT!

Black Sesame Seeds: A Simple Addition for Midlife Wellness

As we navigate the changing seasons of midlife, maintaining a well-rounded, nutrient-dense diet becomes increasingly important. But did you know that one simple addition to your daily routine could provide a powerful boost in the fight against inflammation and the signs of aging?

Enter black sesame seeds - a humble superfood with an impressive array of benefits for perimenopausal and menopausal women.

Unlike their lighter counterparts, black sesame seeds are rich in potent antioxidants like sesamol, which help neutralize free radicals and mitigate oxidative stress - a primary driver of premature aging. These antioxidants also possess strong anti-inflammatory properties, making black sesame seeds a valuable ally in managing the inflammatory conditions that can arise during midlife.

But the benefits of black sesame seeds don't stop there. From a Chinese medicine perspective, these tiny powerhouses are revered for their ability to nourish the yin and support the kidney meridian - the foundation of overall wellbeing. By strengthening this vital system, black sesame seeds can help regulate hormones, optimize reproductive health, and foster a greater sense of vitality.

And let's not forget the circulatory benefits. Black sesame seeds are known to nourish the blood and promote healthy blood flow - crucial for maintaining cardiovascular health as we age.

Of course, it's important to remember that no single food or supplement is a silver bullet. A well-rounded, nutrient-dense diet is essential for combating the challenges of midlife. But by intentionally incorporating black sesame seeds into your daily routine, you can provide your body with an extra boost of protection against inflammation and the ravages of time.

So why not give these unassuming seeds a try? Whether sprinkled on your morning oatmeal, blended into a smoothie, or enjoyed as a wholesome snack, black sesame seeds offer a simple and delicious way to support your midlife wellness journey.

Mahalo Nui Loa, Ladies! As your wise and straight-talking friend, let me break this exciting article down for you:

The study shows that resistance training (RT) with free weights is a safe and effective way for middle-aged women (40-60 years) to build strength. Both pre- and post-menopausal women saw significant increases in their 1-rep max for squats and bench press.

However, the hypertrophy (muscle growth) effects were only seen in the pre-menopausal women. Their fat-free mass, muscle mass, and muscle thickness increased significantly. The post-menopausal women did not experience these muscle-building benefits.

The researchers think that post-menopausal women may need higher training volumes (more than 6-8 sets per muscle per week) to see improvements in body composition and muscle growth. The pre-menopausal women responded well to the moderate training load used in the study.

So the key takeaways are:

R.T. with free weights is a safe and effective way for middle-aged women to get stronger.
Pre-menopausal women can build muscle with moderate RT, but post-menopausal women may need more volume. AKA LIFT HEAVY vSH*T!!!

Menopause status seems to play a big role in the muscle-building response to RT.

My sassy ladies, use this info to craft your fitness plans.

Strength training is a game-changer at our age, so let's get after it! When I work 1:1 with my clients, we use DNA testing to find out exactly what type of exercise works best for your chronotype.

But be mindful that our bodies may need some adjustments as we go through menopause. Always listen to yours.

Alright ladies, listen up! We've got an important message for you today.

Why is strength training so darn effective for managing that pesky midlife weight gain? The answer is simple - it's all about boosting your metabolism!

You see, as we age, we naturally lose muscle mass. And that muscle loss leads to a slower metabolism. But fear not, my friends!

Strength training can help you rebuild that muscle, which in turn revs up your calorie-burning power.

Now, I know strength training can seem a bit intimidating, especially if you're new to it. But trust me, it's a game-changer when it comes to taking control of your midlife health. And the best part? You don't have to do it alone.

*leans in a bit closer*

I'm here to help you create a personalized plan and provide the accountability you need to make it happen. No more of that "oh, I'll get to it eventually" nonsense. We're going to tackle this head-on, together.

So, what are you waiting for? This is your invitation to take on midlife better than our mothers did.

But listen up, ladies - there's no time to lose! The sooner you start, the sooner you'll start seeing those metabolism-boosting results.

Don't let midlife weight gain get the best of you. Reach out to me, and let's get you on the path to a stronger, healthier you. Your future self will thank you for it!

If you are already a lifting lady, please share your testimonials below!!!

As a midlife woman navigating the demands of work, family, and self-care, it can be easy to feel like life is just happening to you.

But this insightful quote from Jung reminds us that the key to taking control is facing our subconscious thoughts and beliefs.

This isn't always easy, but becoming more self-aware can help us break free from old patterns and consciously create the life we want.

It may require us to challenge our assumptions, address our fears, and get comfortable with the uncomfortable.

To do the HARD WORK of reclamation of one's self amongst all the changes.

But on the other side of that journey lies true empowerment.

When we shine a light on the unconscious drivers of our behavior, we can start making intentional choices that align with our values and desires.

*We become the authors of our own story, rather than passive participants.*

So fellow midlife warriors, let's embrace this process. Let's get curious about our inner landscape and make the unconscious conscious. The wisdom and growth that awaits will be worth the effort.
