I have been a Board Member for the Council for Responsible Sport for three years now. Our vision is a world where it is the norm for sporting event organizers to produce events that are socially and environmentally responsible and create lasting, positive impacts in the communities that host them. It's a tall order and one that was significantly impacted by the pandemic shutdowns. But we are taking advantage of new beginnings and trying hard to help race/event directors reimagine their events as they plan for the future. We are now introducing the first of several exciting things we have been working on this past year- not only do we have a certification for single events but now we are prepared to offer certifications for sporting event organizations as well! Cheers to the amazing and transformative power of sports!
