The most meaningful work we do isn’t found in boardrooms or busy streets — it happens quietly within the walls of our home. Our families are the roots of society; when we nurture them, we help grow a better future. Never underestimate the power of your daily choices at home — they shape lives, hearts, and generations to come.

Play is not a break from learning — it is learning. Whether it’s pretend play, building blocks, or running around outside, every playful moment helps shape a child’s mind, heart, and sense of self. When we protect time for play, we’re nurturing growth in the most natural and powerful way.

👋 With so many new faces here, I thought I’d reintroduce myself.

📜 I’m Dr. Adrian Oxman, a Clinical Psychologist based in Hoboken, NJ. I have a Masters in Clinical Psychology, a Masters in Education and a Doctorate in Clinical and School Psychology.

🍫 But I’m also Adrian, mom of two, wife, sister, daughter, friend, lover of all things chocolate.

✨In my professional life, I specialize in motherhood, parenting, child development and anxiety. Sessions with me are collaborative and candid. My theory is that good therapy shouldn’t just be supportive, it should be transformative.

🫖 And in my personal life, you’ll usually find me chasing my kids around a park, drinking tea and laughing with my friends.

📝 I hope you find the content I put on social media to be helpful and entertaining. As a reminder, all advice offered is educational in nature only and not a substitute for a therapeutic relationship.

Involving kids in chores teaches them valuable lessons beyond the task itself. It builds character, independence, and a sense of belonging — essential foundations for their growth and success. Start small, be consistent, and watch them rise to the occasion.

Fall doesn’t just change the world outside — it speaks to something inside us. It gently reminds us that slowing down, letting go, and finding beauty in transition is not only okay… it’s healing. In this season, we’re allowed to breathe and begin again.

When life feels overwhelming, grounding yourself is a powerful way to reconnect with the present moment and calm your mind. Whether you use your senses, breathe deeply, move your body, or focus your thoughts, these techniques help you regain control and find clarity. Remember — it's okay to pause. One small step at a time is enough.

Our words and behaviors are powerful tools that shape the emotional and psychological development of children. By choosing to communicate with intention and compassion, we lay the groundwork for their lifelong resilience, confidence, and empathy. The inner voice we help nurture today becomes the guiding force for them tomorrow.

Let’s commit to speaking with kindness—not only to others but to ourselves—so that the next generation can grow up with voices full of strength and hope.
