When choosing ononhkwa for this flu season, look at immunity boosters - echinacea, elderberry, keep lymph nodes clean (red clover, yarrow), lungs-mullein. There's more but this is a good start. Eat spinach - blood cleaner n of course your fruits for vitamin c - immunity booster. All else fails ... fire cider!!! Stinging nettles good for nutrition. I do make tea blends n have some fire cider 🔥, if interested.

Shekon, i am slow lately, taking some time to get website completed. But an elderberry tea or blend with mullein and others ononhkwa is an excellent way to keep those cold and flu virus bugs away. If purchasing a syrup from a store, minimally, it should have .08% of elderberry in it to be labelled elderberry. Not very much, so if you have a chance, visit a herbalist instead.

Well, had the COVID. I am vaccinated and boosted but still never felt an illness like this one. First 2 days, so fatigued with muscles aches. Then other flu symptoms started...runny nose, headache, sore throat, chills, slight fever and cough. One morning, had a sore lung and around the heart was tender. After about the 5th day, started feeling better. Still getting tired fairly easy but every day a little better.

My remedies were Elderberry Immunity Elixir with extra Elderflower, Fire Cider, Elecampane Cough Syrup and supplements i took were electrolytes or Gatorade and vitamin D. Slept about 16 hrs. first 2 days. Made the elderberry drink when husband had symptoms 2 days before mine started and then made chicken (bone in) veggie soup. Our daughters dropped off snacks for us and food.

One thing i noticed when i was sick, it was hard to remember to take the remedies, so i guess i had brain fog 2. I had started taking the elderberry before i started symptoms too and i think that helped 2. On the lung and heart, upped the elecampane cough syrup and ate a garlic bulb (lol) and tapped my lung and around the heart periodically throughout the day and by late afternoon, those symptoms disappeared. I also did some energy work on self at about the 5th day. Took hot baths every other day.

I was so relieved when i realized i could manage this and use my knowledge to get me through this illness. The fear went away at that point and i focused on getting my husband and i back to a healthy spot. We am still taking elderberry immunity drink a daily maintenance dose of about 2 tablespoons/day. Do fire cider occasionally for the headache and added 1 more supplement, a plant based multi vitamin.

So glad, this pandemic seems to be going away.

Shekon, had the first class on the Ionkwanonhkwatshera series. It is funded by IPRF and indigenous based funder. The series is on using our ononhkwa to counter covid symptoms. The session at this time, is for indigenous people. I am looking into how to open up another series to the general public in a few months.
In the meantime, i will post the products that i have on hand or can make in a few days. Of course, elderberry immunity will be at the top but there are a so many that can be tried, and with covid decreasing maybe we can slow down and get to know the various ononhkwa and how they truly help. You have yourself a great day!!

Well, i have been quite busy making flu remedies. I try to help as much as possible. Now i am hosting an ononhkwa series through Oheroken with Sateiokwen Bucktooth until early April. I haven't had time to finish this business page but if you are interested in flu remedies, please pm through Messenger and we can go from there. I still do make remedies and individual assessments. Continue to be safe during these trying times.

Well Shekon, yes i have been away for awhile. Sorry about that but i will be here a little more often now 👌.

Just a little update on the business, my real love is educating, so this will be my main focus. Then there will be the other parts of my business and that will be around dried herbs, wellness checks as well as energy work.

But for now, here's a sample of what's ready to be picked, some may have passed. They are red clover, elder flower, plantain (early) and lemon balm. Then it looks like stinging nettles, motherwort, mullein flowers and maybe black walnut shortly after these. Things seem a little earlier than normal and always wear bug spray!!
