Have you ever wondered what a postpartum doula visit is like?
When I arrive we sit and touch base with how things are going, what is bringing you joy or stressing you out. And then we talk about what you need from me during that visit. Sometimes that can be wearing the baby and cleaning the kitchen and tidying up while you nap or shower. Other times I will get the fridge stocked with some easy grab and go meals, or we just chat while you process your birth and enjoy a quiet peaceful moment.
So much of the focus is on the new baby in that first year, and my sole purpose is focusing on the mother. These postpartum days will affect a new mama for the rest of her life, and she deserves to be pampered and loved on!
