❄Astrological Winter Solstice Greetings ❄
✨Pause, Rest, Reflect, Honor, Renew, and Replenish ✨
Regardless of our individual hemisphere orientation, the Sun crosses the 0° Capricorn moment today. Zodiacal winter has arrived. Within the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra & Capricorn) we reach a turning point that ushers in a shift through the solstice and equinox moments. That shift that is initiated is described by the change in light within that portion of the zodiacal year - we can see it symbolically through the characteristics of that zodiacal sign. In fact, the entirety of the zodiacal wheel is a symbolic system described by the relationship of light and dark within that moment.
In Capricorn, we find ourselves in a place where light has been decreasing and darkness has been increasing towards its maximum height. Just as with the full moon, once the darkness (or light) reaches peak, it slowly begins to decline and the opposing quality begins to creep in.
Capricorn is hard working, striving, dedicated, persevering and goal oriented. The goal in mind is signified by the glimmer of light returning. The light at the end of a distant tunnel.
Darkness is associated with the feminine whereas light is associated with the masculine. The feminine or Yin can be considered passive or inward while the light or Yang can be considered active or outward. This solstice moment, in the height of Yin may we find a moment of pause, rest, and reflect before we shift towards the Yang returning.
