Friends and coworkers are doing a raffle for Wayne Stone to help with medical expenses.

Wayne has been with 911 for almost 29 years and is now serving as 911 director and county flood coordinator.

Chances are being sold on a Henry 22 lever action which was donated by a very generous person. Chances are $20 each and can be purchased at any of the following: Bruce Police Department , Calhoun 911 office, Vardaman Police Department or you contact someone with Sheriffs Office. 100% of all money raised willl be given to Wayne.

You may also use cash app @ $WayneStoneFundRaiser and contact Dean Poynor to fill out your copy of the chance. Date of drawing will be announced at a later date.

Drawing will be on Facebook live or winner will be contacted if you’re not able to watch live!

Please submit your questions to your Emergency Communications Coordinator by the end of the day if at all possible. Your Emergency Communications Coordinator is your primary POC and available to assist you and obtain any clarifications that you may need.

If you submitted your membership form by November 30 as a voting member, you should have received a nomination form on the 11th. The nomination period commenced on the 10th and concludes on the 14th - tomorrow. Elections will begin on the 15th and will close prior to the next scheduled meeting on the 18th at 10:00. Election information has not been disseminated yet.

Day 2 of the conference was nothing short of amazing! We kicked off the morning with an inspiring and emotional keynote from Ricardo Martinez, “How One Voice Can Change the World.” The first half of the day was filled with powerful moments, especially during “Imagine Listening,” where we heard heartfelt stories from Mississippi’s own telecommunicators.
We’re so grateful to our other incredible speakers — Tim Rutledge, Jeff Ledbetter, Haley Feather & Toby Sanford, Lauren Nash, Charlsie Little, Rebecca Kimbrough, Larry Cagle, and Jeremy Brown — for sharing their time and expertise.

It was an honor to be one of your Keynote speakers, and to capture the stories you shared during Imagine Listening. I’m excited to be the opening Keynote speaker next Wednesday for the Mississippi 911 Conference. It will be followed up by an Imagine Listening session.
