Long post, but definitely worth the read. A Thanksgiving blessing came early for us.
This month's dinner outing to Longhorn Steakhouse turned into a truly heartwarming evening. What began as a monthly outing for residents to enjoy a nice meal out and a change of scenery became an unforgettable reminder of the kindness still shining in this world. An anonymous angel within the restaurant quietly paid for all 15 of us, including tip, and our waitress, Iesha, who was amazing, might we add, came over with tears in her eyes to deliver this message. After pleading with her to please ask the person to allow her to tell us who they were so we could express our gratitude, they reluctantly agreed. To find out it was a mother and daughter sitting next to us who had just lost their beloved husband/father and wanted to do something for the holidays in honor of him, and saw our group sitting right in front of them and decided that was exactly what they wished to do. Our group, one by one, went over to personally thank them, which is exactly what they didn't really want, but we were so glad to be able to. Their generosity left us speechless and deeply touched. I begged them to please follow our page so they could see more of the smiling faces that they helped make this holiday special. The residents are still sharing this moment with everyone they encounter about this Thanksgiving blessing we received. We really hope they see this post to know that they made it a night we will all remember. May your holiday be filled with great memories of your lost loved one. Thank you for your kind and giving hearts.
