Almost 20 years 😊💘One road,a lifetime of memories
Almost two decades of running the same stretch of ocean road… and every medal holds more than miles. 🌊🏃♀️
Along A1A I’ve run through so many seasons of my life. Many years filled with pure happiness, excitement, and a deep sense of accomplishment… crossing the finish line feeling strong, proud, and sometimes like a total superhero in my own story.
I’ve run surrounded by family and friends cheering me on.I’ve run celebrating milestones, growth, and new beginnings. And yes..there were also years when tears streamed down my face as I ran, carrying heartbreak, challenges, and heavy moments that only the road seemed to understand.
I’ve run while building my business, raising my boys, healing injuries, and evolving into who I am today. Some races were loud and joyful. Some were quiet and deeply personal.
These medals are not just races… they are chapters. They tell a story of resilience, consistency, healing, and showing up again and again, no matter what life brings.
(Out of all these years, I only missed two: one in 2014 after running the Miami Half Marathon just four weeks earlier and getting injured, needing a few months to heal… and 2021 during the COVID year.)
Running is my freedom. It’s my strength, my therapy, my power, and my reset button. And I plan to keep going… especially since I fully intend to move up in the rankings as age group goes up 😂 🏃♀️💞
