We never know what someone is carrying.
That moment when someone finally breaks down over something that seems so small.
The spilled coffee. The unanswered text. The slightly wrong tone in someone's voice.
And everyone around them thinks: that was an overreaction.
What happened is that everything they swallowed was living somewhere.
Every "I'm fine" that wasn't fine. Every hurt they minimized. Every moment they held it together because there was no space not to.
Suppressed emotional experiences accumulate in the mind, building pressure beneath the surface. What looks like a breakdown over something small is the weight of everything that came before it finally finding a way out.
It deserves compassion. Every time.
If this is someone you love, this one's for them. ❤️🩹
