On August 4th, 2013, in Hollywood, Florida, Antonia Gore, Miss Georgia Beautiful 2013, captured the title of Miss International Beautiful 2013! Antonia is absolutely ecstatic and honored. Antonia is a graduate of Spelman College where she was on the Pre-Medicine track and received her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology just this past May. She then went on to be accepted into the Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Post Baccalaureate Program at Drexel University College of Medicine where she takes Graduate and Medical School level courses along with MCAT prep in order to further her education and equip herself to apply to medical school next fall. Giving of herself, Antonia believes that service is a major contribution of oneself and thus her life is comprised of it. She volunteered with several campus community service events at Spelman College. She also enjoyed participating and organizing several walks such as The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, AIDS Walk, Lupus Walk, and Breast Cancer Awareness walks Antonia believes that awareness in regards to health will make a positive difference in today’s healthcare approaches. Antonia has been a mentor with Cool Girls Inc., The Rotary Club, Vogue Modeling, and The Speak Life Foundation. Antonia’s personal platform is Cancer awareness and self esteem. She is so excited to work with and be an ambassador for The Mesothelioma Research Foundation- the official community service organization with The International Beautiful Pageant System. To be twenty-two years young, Antonia is quite an accomplished young woman. Antonia demonstrated leadership and was chosen to be apart of Leading New Student Orientation, Spelman Women Empowered through Professional Training (SWEPT), SGA, and was given a scholarship to attend LEAP (Leadership Excellence Accelerating Potential) a leadership summit for college students at UCLA. As a pioneer for academic achievement and an exemplary student she was chosen to be G-Stem scholar. Spelman College’s G-Stem program fully funded her travels to study abroad and conduct research in Brazil. In this research she Compared and Contrasted the Biotic and Abiotic Factors of Lagoons in Brazil. After that she caught the travel bug and has been in and out of the U.S. ever since. She was chosen to go on the Semester at Sea program to travel to 10 different countries last winter 2012. Most recently she was invited on a medical brigade to Honduras to shadow doctors and help the less fortunate with medical care. Antonia considers herself a rising philanthropist because she loves helping others and giving back to the community and plans to one day have a non-profit that helps young women with their self esteem. Her Career aspiration is to become a Dermatologist with her own practice. In her spare time she loves traveling, reading, rock climbing, playing the piano, and anything that involves adventure. She also enjoys image consulting, and has a passion for pageantry. Antonia has won numerous pageant and community service awards. In the Miss International Beautiful 2013 pageant, Antonia won Miss Congeniality, Most Photogenic, and of course Miss International Beautiful, the international title. The International Beautiful Pageant System has established itself as an organization centered on integrity, high ethical standards and creativity. It gives young ladies from across the globe a chance to embark on a life changing experience at an International level! Women from several different countries came to compete in six different divisions: Little Miss, Jr. Teen, Teen, Miss, Ms., and Mrs.. The phases of competition were: Interview, Fashion wear, Swimsuit, and Evening Gown.
